clearly works in favour of the car insurance companys. he is very rude total lack of compassoin and caring .total disregard for my medical findings. would not recommend him to anyone.

Very, very helpful doctor. Allowed me as much time as needed to help me understand the treatment options for my condition.He later spoke directly with my family doctor and they agreed on and arranged a prompt referral to a surgeon. Not many specialists would take the time for that. Dr. Derby has been teaching at McMaster University for over 30 years and his experience shows. Took my 88 year old father to him also and Dad was impressed with the respect with which he was treated. Parking, however, is a problem in that part of town, so close to St Joseph's Hospital.We did get a spot in a plaza kitty-korner from the doctor's office where you buy a ticket from a machine for your dash. Dr. Derby is the nicest, most sympathetic, doctor I have ever seen. I told my family doctor that and she said that is why she refers to him regularly. She said he is also well connected for making referrals to the best of the surgeons and other specialists in our area.

Dr Derby was very friendly and polite. He explained everything he was doing while testing me for Carpel Tunnel. Very knowledgeable in his profession and I would highly recommended him.

I was referred to Dr. Derby for my carpal tunnel and found him to be a nice man. After my first visit my carpal tunnel pain had gone away. About 3 years later after it returned, he recommended surgery and had me booked quite quickly. I quite liked him.

Pleasant man, but doesn't really listen. After your 20 minutes you are rushed out of the office.

Absolutely no "bedside manner"; Abrupt, uncarryingm totally unsympathetic and did little to explain actions being taken. I will not return to this doctor should I require another neur. consult and would not recommend him to other. Perhaps this is why he is easy to get an appointment with - because so few return.
