Dr. Van Adel saved my life. I was found unresponsive by paramedics in my home and had suffered from a ruptured brain aneurysm. He operated on me and I don’t think I would be here today if it wasn’t for him. The entire neuro team at Hamilton General helped me get through the worst pain I have ever felt for over a month. First in the ICU then in the reg ward. He kept my family up to speed with my recovery and is a very kind and caring Dr. I am truly grateful for Dr Van Adel and his team of drs and staff. I have never received such incredible care. I am walking and talking and have pretty much gotten back to my usual routine. I can’t say enough about this team and will forever be grateful.

Dr VanAdel is a caring professional, he and his team saved my life this past June when I had my aneurysm rupture. He made me feel comfortable all the time, explained us all and did a successful vascular surgery to repair my aneurysm. I’ll be forever grateful with he and his team for been always present, and checking everyday during my hospital stay. In general my experience was the best.

Truly blessed to have this surgeon in our life. He saved my husband's life. Without out him and his team, he would not be here today. It's been a long road. and yet during his hospital stay Dr Van-Adel was always there. If not in person, but a phone call away when needed as per the 7West team. We had phone visits and one in person visit so far. My first real introduction to this person was over whelming. I can't tell you how many times I just wanted to jump up and give him the biggest hug. We sat in that room with him, my husband explained some of his concerns and for the issues he didn't remember I advocated for him. The fact that Dr Van Adel did listen. to our concerns they were not dismissed. He was there for my husband. Since then, we have had a couple of calls from Dr. van Adel and yes, he is an extremely busy person and yes there are time when emergency calls come through. he may have to cut you off but eventually you will get his calls in return. Having said that the list of questions I had for him has left me at ease just knowing he is acting on our behalf and does answer to our needs. Thank you so much Dr. van Adel for being the person you are. Very intelligent, compassionate, and caring beautiful human being

This rating is for both the procedure he did on my brain and the appointments I’ve had on the phone DON’T GO TO THIS DOCTOR!! Something went wrong with my procedure! And after being in operating room extra long no one called my husband!! My husband was sooooo worried! He tried calling the number he was given and no one answered! Dr VanAdel was trying to cure an AVM in my brain. My husband felt he was going to have an ulcer with all the worrying!! And can you believe Dr VanAdel came to the recovery room to tell me about the procedure?! I was all drugged up! I have never seen or spoken to him since which is over six months!! I still don’t know what he did or why I woke up with the room spinning around me so much I couldn’t open my eyes for two days! I should have left the hospital the next day but I was in for four! I have vertigo to this day! My follow up appointment I had to wait for six months was also botched! Three days before my phone appointment (they wouldn’t let me have an in person appointment), they called & said they had to change my Monday appointment & only option was to have it moved to Friday (in two days), or I’d have to wait 7 more months! The communication with this doctor AND his office has been terrible!! I was told he would probably phone later than the scheduled time at 3:45 because he was so busy. I waited 3 hours & he never called! This is not the first time he has done this! My husband and I wish we had never met this doctor!!

Worst experience I’ve ever had and continue to have. Not only is my medical records incomplete or wrong he is ignoring both myself and my dr for updates. This is my life! Now I’m left in pain, with nausea and other issues that make it impossible to live. So thanks for nothing brian. How much more do I need to lose in my life before you will help me?
