Dr Mrkonjic is a cold person with little empathy for patients or respect for her inter professional team. Attempted to discharge a patient from the hospital with 4 broken bones before doing surgery to have him transported to Edmonton on his own accord. This was against the advice of the physiotherapist who said that it would be unsafe and cause the patient harm to discharge him and the patient who did not wish to be discharged prior to surgery with his immense amount of pain. the discharge order was only cancelled upon threat of complaint to the college of physicians for negligence, misconduct and actively causing the patient harm.

Dr. Linda Mrkonjic is a consummate professional and the interactions I observed between her and the other medical staff she works with were without exception pleasant.

They focused on doing everything possible in my case and after surgery on my right knee, it started to improve and after a month the pain disappeared

I will always be grateful to Dr. Linda Mrkonjic.

Thank you so much

She completely ignored my pain and reason for my referral her. She told me nothing is wrong with me despite radiology reports. She was rude and dismissive.

Appeared exasperated when asked questions. When asked to show again exercises for my excrutiatingly painful arm she moved her arms so rapidly in different directions that I couldnt remember how they were supposed to be done.

I 100% agree with person commenting on Oct 6, 2020. Had surgery with Dr. Mrkonjic 4 years ago. Great service from her and her assistant, right to the point, but very comforting and gave me lots of info. Surgery went well. Very impressed.

She is the first Doctor (besides my family Doctor) who looked at my knee as said it needed to be repaired. I had my first knee injury at 12, knee surgery at 27 at 35 I had a bad incident with my knee a complete ACL and it took me 6 month to get into the back and Knee institute where at that time the dr told me it was a old condition that "I could live with!" that was that. 9 years later a Doctor that has finally told me I am a 100% a candidate for ACL replace and has referred me to the surgeon. I actually cried! I missed out on a lot of stuff with my kids these last 9 years, worried I would hurt myself. Today I was given hope.

Completely dishonest doctor. Caught her lying multiple times and it is documented and recorded. I am filing a complaint because I can't believe what she gets away with! Stay away if you can.

I had read many negative comments about Dr Mrkonjic, and it made me feel very apprehensive to meet her. I met with her four times, and not in any of those appointments did I encounter the monster some of the reviewers made her to be. She is straightforward, no sugar coating, and right to the point. I find that refreshing. Right before my surgery she sat with me for over 10 mins, and once again, explained every detail of my procedure. She did so with empathy and compassion. My first post op appointment she felt I wasn't trying hard enough to aid in my own recovery, and told me I had to do better. So, I did. And at my second post op appointment, she very enthusiastically congratulated me and said how proud she was of me as she could tell I had been working hard at my rehabilitation. She absolutely expects you to work hard, and really, why wouldn't you? It is after all your health. She did insist that I did not need PT, but in the end, I know me better, and I respectfully disagreed. I just went all the same, and found (for my recovery) this is what I needed. I would recommend Dr Mrkonjic if you want a straightforward, no-nonsense type of treatment, where you have an active role in your own recovery. If you want a doctor to hold your hand, and coddle you, you're better off to find someone else. I have the deepest respect for her ability, and my knee has not felt this good since before my injury. I appreciate everything she has provided me, from my surgery to my recovery. LA
