This guy is very good at what he does. The only complaint i had was the follow up was horrible, and they blew me off. BUT i would go to him again, if i needed too. Maybe it's a good idea to have an agreement ahead of time.

Dr. Schmidt did an ACL reconstruction on me when I was 15. I was an avid soccer player and have had no problems with my knee. After surgery I did not even have to wear my brace.

An excellent shoulder surgeon (the best around), but my shoulder problem was misdiagnosed. I had surgery, though appropriate Physical Therapy would likely have resolved the problem, and should have been strongly emphasized (it was not). The same problem in my other shoulder has been resolved by PT, not surgery, and under the care of a different doctor.

I have had 4 shoulder surgeries and the last 2 were by Dr Schmidt. Wonderful results!

This doctor only does shoulders, and lots of them. Does arthroscopic surgeries with the highesr tech equipment available. He treated subacrominal impingement for me, for my wife, and for work associates. The head of the Physical Therapy department where I work recommends him as the first choice. He is a member of CCN, so my employer provided health benefits covered virtually everything. Members of his staff that I interracted with were great, as were those of the Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital outpatient surgery center where he does all but the most serious cases.
