Dr. Schmidt fixed a bone spur in my shoulder and consequently 85%. of my neck pain went away. So awesome.

Totally unprofessional. Made it quite clear he only cares about money. Literally the biggest jackass I've ever met in a doctor's office.

Dr. Schmidt is the only Ortho (I've seen about 10 over the past decade for the same injury that I have yet to have operated on) that actually took the time to carefully explain my condition and what he would do during surgery. I have been battling with bilateral shoulder issues for over a decade and am actually excited to have surgery now because I will have my life back. Yes he is a bit eccentric, but he is extremely intelligent with a no BS attitude. I would highly recommend him, as he is one of the BEST shoulder specialists around. I am not sure what happened with the folks below that had negative experiences, but when you are seeing the best, you have to relax and let him shine. You are placing your life in his hands, so who cares if his office staff is busy.. they're busy because he's SO good that everyone wants to get in to see him!

Eric was recommended to my by a very good orthopedic surgeon and friend. I was very apprehensive about having shoulder surgery until I met Eric. It was evident that he knows his stuff. He was very reassuring and confident. I had my surgery without complications. Re had was very thorough and he was responsive to after hour calls. I have complete range of motion, no pain, and use my shoulder as if it were never injured. I had to search my arm for the tiny incisions to remember which shoulder I had surgery on. I highly recommend him and will be seeing him again for my other shoulder even though my insurance won't cover him....he is that good.

This guy completely screwed my knee up... I tore my acl. He repaired it. It didn't work. Went in for a second surgery to scope the knee and see what was going on. From the second surgery I caught a staff infection and they had to rush me into surgery a week later. Dr. Schmidt was so unprofessional and I was in the worst pain of my life he went to drain my knee and proceeded to jam the long needle into my knee with no numbing medication. My knee is so much worse than when he started it's ridiculous. . Did this guy ever go to medical school? ?? Don't let him cut you open!!

I have had 3 appointments messed up by his staff and no apologies were offered. His staff is so rude and unprofessional, it literally makes me ill. Last time I went in there for a follow up the nurse who saw me could care less to give me any insight on my condition. She was also visibly irritated by my attempts to get more information out of her. At the end I decided to voice my concerns with the staff. I told her how rude they are, and even more importantly I told her that they are REALLY bad at there job. I told her that just the day before I came in for my appointment at 3 pm, The women behind the desk then without establishing eye contact, said in her rudest voice that I was supposed to be there at 8am. I told her im on disability and I never make appointments that early, she said come in tomorrow then literally waved me off, then I had to ask what time, I told the nurse the next day, and she responded, they don't wanna hear when you wake up! I wish I had more room to write but no.

Old hippy fart ! Staff is clueless and rude . I can barely call this guy Dr. Appointments are a mess . Make a list of questions and make he answer them if you are forced to see him . You get better help from web md . His office staff is so focused on ordering lunch provided by drug reps than actually working . It's like walking into a hoarders disco twilight zone .

Dr. Schmidt is a really nice guy and I trust that he does a good job. I am however very disappointed in the way I wasn't adequately educated on the post surgery care of my shoulder. I had a severe injury, and after surgery, I basically was told by Schmidt's assistants to just take it easy, which they just repeated every couple of weeks when they had me come in for what seemed like a lot of unnecessary follow up appointments. They need to give way more guidance as to what is too much activity, and what is too little. I ended up re-injuring my shoulder somewhere during my recovery, which required a second surgery and another very long recovery. I completely blame the lack of guidance of Schmidt's post surgery staff for this. Turn down the music, turn off the tv's and focus on the needs of your patients. If you do plan to use Dr Schmidt, make sure you ask detailed questions, and don't settle for vague answers. I learned so much the 2nd time around...

Seemed to be more interested in talking to me about politics than telling me what to do. I left the office not knowing much about my injury and what my plan of recovery should be.. .
