Zero compassion..i mean zero...unable to schedule appts. Often not able to reach to fill prescription. No regard for patients at any level. Shameful to call herself a psychiatrist

Routinely wait more than 2 hours in the waiting room for your appointment. I doesn't matter if your appoint was the first on her schedule for the day or the last. YOU WAIT. Have waited over 5 hours. Staff was unable to turn around a request for a refill in 10 days.Staff member was handed a document and told to send to my primary care doctor. I gave them the name and number and it was not there a week later. When you finally see her it is hardly worth the aggravation.

I wish there was a negative score for punctuality. I have consistently, over the last 4 years of being her patient, waited for a minimum of 2 hours. Most of the time, she is not in the office or even in the country. Shazia has some real time management issues. Even her office staff, who are mostly very kind, sometimes roll their eyes at her constantly being not there. I was once canceled while I was in her office for an appointment and the computer broke so she could not talk to me half asleep from Pakistan. Her current nurse practitioner, Cheeto” is clueless. She can’t remember who you are, what meds she put you on last time, or why being drug tested to “be sure your taking your medication” is embarrassing to a person in their late 50’s. There is not even a bathroom in the office, so you get to walk down a public hallway, warm jar of urine half covered with a tiny paper towel. I asked before I went if I could have a bag to put the “sample” in, I was told no. No one supervised my drug screening, so does that make it a legal drug screening?? I was told for hours she would be here by (enter fake time here) just to be told she was delayed and would be another hour. No one in her office can or will sign her prescriptions, so I am doing without medication.
Dr. Shazia Malik’s family is a medical money maker. Her knowledge base on medication is sound, but she is always pushing antidepressants. Her office gives out loads of free samples. Please, I know getting in to see someone is nearly impossible, but do not start seeing this doctor. I have to see her until I can find someone my insurance covers who will keep me on the medications that have kept me from killing myself. Go see someone else, there is a reason Shazia has openings. She is overbooked, often not in the office, and her office group is likely tired of signing her prescriptions for her. Do not go here for your mental health. Unless waiting 4 hours, being drug tested, having to reschedule once you are already there. I offered to leave after a 3 hour wait time, I was told I would be charged. My car broke down and had to be towed away. You can be sure her office charged me for that. And never refunded me a dime for the stressful hours of waiting in a room full of unhappy patients and family members who have been waiting just as long. It’s very sad.
Professionals in mental health need to be professional.

Wait time is horrible and most of the time it’s a Skype visit. Doesn’t remember you or what meds or your problem. Looking for another doctor. Location is convenient and can accommodate late afternoon appointments but the wait is terrible. On a positive note feel like she knows her meds and prescribes important vitamins.

Please don't see her at all. She is very unprofessional, never show up on time, not in her off and have to be in "facetime or Video chat" which is not right. She should be in her office not on video call. You will have to wait forever to see her and only talk to you about 5 to 10 minutes by waiting over 2 hours in lobby. She will not listen to your request and she is very joking on keep giving out medicine that is not really necessary. It is not really worth your time and she don't care about your plan or time. It is very very bad service and her license need to tear up!!!!! PLEASE 'DO NOT CHOOSE HER OR GO TO HER!!!!!! YOU DON'T NEED TO SUFFER LIKE WE DO.

Please do not see this doctor if you don't have to. South County office is disorganized. Barely responds to pharmacy and patient calls and messages. Does visits via facetime while inexperienced secretary takes notes. ineffective and incomplete notes. While in visit she asks same questions more than once. You try to describe your symptoms and history and they seem oblivious to what your saying.

Wait 2 hours minimum. She tries pumping and over dosing you with medicine that will knock a cow out and purposefully makes you angry too tell you your bi polar. She is a joke of a doctor and shouldn't be allowed to practice psychology to a primate. Never go to her ! You will know less after a visit and more angry than you were before you met her. Otherwise she's great! Not'
