I had visits to DR. Hoyt's office in Bel Air, MD. His staff is courteous, professional and prompt. Outstanding.
Dr. Hoyt also removed a squamous-cell carcinoma from my nose. Very pleased with the result. Highly recommended.

Got there for my 1:00 appointment forty minutes early (first appointment) because I wasn't sure what traffic was going to be like and I knew I would have to fill out paper work. Receptionist had a terrible attitude, proceeded to tell me I didn't even have an appointment. I took off work to get this appointment and now she's telling me I have to take off again to be seen. There was no one in the waiting room, so it wasn't like they were strapped for time or anything. She spoke to me like I was a child and made me feel like I was inconveniencing her even though there wasn't anything else going on.

The most caring doctor I ever met. He saved my life by diagnosing my cancer when Patient First never picked up on my lump on my neck after having a complete physical and full blood work. I only went to Dr. Hoyt to have my ears checked. He picked up the lump in my throat and on the side of my neck

Dr Hoyt has a horrible bedside manner. After my daughter's tonsil, adenoid and tube surgery last winter I tried to reach him to get some relief for my daughter. She had developed ulcers in her mouth and could not swallow the medicine he prescribed. After his non-challant, why-are-you-bothering-me-with-this-attitude, I should never have returned for a follow up appointment. Less than 6 months later, I returned and he proved again to be very unprofessional when dealing with my petrified 5 year old. He held her down with excessive force and was very mean to her basically threatening her to sit still.

He couldn't find anything wrong with me after doing a sinus CT. My pain was still there, but he didn't want to do any more tests and asked me, "what do you want me to do scan your entire body??" Turns out I have a serious problem in my neck that should have been found earlier. Not a good bedside manner.

I have seen Dr. Hoyt and I have taken my kids to him for years. He seems very knowledgeable and he doesn't rush you out of the office like many doctors. He is very thorough and takes the time to explain things. He never got frustrated with us although I asked him things repeatedly. One of the best things about him is that he is willing to tell you about using simple over the counter or 'old fashion' remedies instead of pushing drugs on you, like every other doctor I have been to. He suggested using a nettie pot for sinus wash instead of expensive drugs. He seems genuinely concerned and is willing to listen to what the patient wants.. I was able to get an appt within the same week that I called and the staff is friendly. I have nothing but good things to say about this doctor.

I took my 2yr old to dr. Hoyt for ear infections and constant water in her ear he put tupes in her ear. Should have been night and day, although I'm still doing follow-ups and it has been weeks since her surgery he said should only be a couple days and things should start gettign better, things seem to be getting worse the farther along we go. He is a great doctor but I do wish that he would understand that I don't have a degree, speak english to me. I don't agree with his scheduling, I had to wait over a week when I tried making an appointment for one of our follow-ups when my daughter is having a very hard time with her tubes he should have assumed priority and given me the earliest appointment he could over a week is not good enough. But I do understand that a specialist's time is valuable but I only have so many nerves left when it comes to the health of my daughter.

Dr. Hoyt competently and kindly helped me through a series of excruciating ear infections and furthermore he gave me a tip that led me to using a $2.50 over the counter product to ultimately prevent future infections. While that was taking effect, he helped me make sure I always had a supply of Rx ear-drops available to stop infections when they tried to start. Using that over-the-counter product mentioned above, I haven't succombed to ear infections for years now even though my weird ears are so problematic that it's a constant danger. When you have an ear infection you cannot wait days for an appintment and Dr. Hoyt and his staff understand - you get fast help. Johns Hopkins hospital once wanted to give me an appointment a whole month later for an ear infection! So glad I found Dr. Hoyt. I wish all the other doctors I need to consult could be of equivalent standard in their field to Dr. Hoyt - but then this would be paradise. Competence and caring are his traits. He's pre-eminent.
