WARNING: If you have more than one life, go here and risk your life. The doctors are simply atrocious and incompetent . Patients are basically their guinea pigs. Absolutely ridiculous place. Their don’t treat your illness. Since they do not know what they are doing, they just drug you so you don’t complain of pain. The only positive aspect of this hospital is the wonderful nurses. Unfortunately, they have to follow the stupid doctor’s orders. You are better off googling and trying to resolve your illness than relying on the doctors there. Horrific place!

Cabal of secrecy here---especially regarding patient death and morbidity.... grossly overpaid administrators, too! Millions wasted on administrators when those doing the actual work for the patients are underpaid.

I would strongly suggest that all prospective patients of Upper Chesapeake Hospital do thorough research before risking their lives at this institution. Upper Chesapeake is fraught with corruption, criminality, wrongful death lawsuits, malpractice lawsuits and investigations by the Federal government: OSHA and EEOC. Upper Chesapeake at both facilities has four times the lethal infection rate than any other hospital in the country. Lyle Sheldon, the CEO who makes $106,000 per paycheck or 2.7 million dollars a year, was personally responsible for losing 70 million dollars of taxpayer and donor money. 04/08/2014 -04/09/2014: My wife and I went to the Emergeny Room (ER) because she was having acute pain in her upper abdominal area. The whole area was sore, but in spurts of about 30-minutes to 60 minutes she would have increaced abdominal pain in the same area. We waited 4.5 hours, afterwhich becuse of elevated pain we sought help elsewhere (3:45 pm to 8:20 pm) We then went to Patient first we were seen within 20-minutes and within 1-hour she had blood drawn, assessed by a doctore of what could be wrong, given a shot of pain medication and a pill for nausea. Unfortunately, we referred back to the hospital because her blood tests were abnomal. (8:30 pm to 9:30 pm ~1.0 hours) We returned to the ER at 10:00 pm. We waited until 5 am, at which time we were given a room, assessed by a Staff Nurse, and administered some nausea medicine. She didn't see a doctor until 7 am. She was discharged from the ER at 11 am. (10 pm to 11 am ~ 13.0 hours)

this hospital used dirty surgical instruments on my father and he wound up with MRSA and VRE! then on top of that he complained of severe leg pain but they poo pooed it off and said it was arthritis, gave him some vicodin and sent him home. we wound up back there not even 24hrs later in the ER. He had no pulse in his leg. they found a blood clot and had to do emergency surgery. they called it a SanFransisco Bypass. He almost DIED! this was just one time. i could give you about 6 more!
