Dr Engeljohn is the best OBGYN I've ever had and I've had OBGYNs that were supposed to be the best, in Chicago. None of them compare to the warmth, responsiveness and medical expertise he has. Only wish I found him sooner!

Dr.Darryl Englejohn is a very experience doctor & very good at what he does!!!! I would recommend any female to him. I've been going to Dr.Englejohn since I was 16 & now I'm 28 with my first child that he delivered!!! He makes sure you're comfortable at anything he does or procedures. I can truly say he's the best!!!!!

My first visit with Dr. Englejohn I took him to be typically standoffish. But because of insurance found myself in need of going back. Upon my subsequent visits I have come to see him as a very kind, knowledgeable, helpful Dr. that has great suggestions, and a very kind bed side manner. Maybe it is in the getting to know you part that changed or maybe I caught him on a bad day the first time but I find that I am very comfortable with him and would and have recommended him to others.

I have been going to Dr. Engeljohn for 4 years he delivered my daughter. He is aways very helpful and professional. I would highly recommend him.

I was referred to Dr Engeljohn for insertion of an IUD. I found that I had to almost battle him to get a hormone-free IUD. He was rude, hurried and pushy. I came back a week later and he had finally done his homework: all of a sudden he agreed that a Paraguard was my best option. When he inserted it, he acted exasperated when I gasped (it's not pleasant), and when I came back for checkup he did NOT use ultrasound to check the position of the IUD. I said I could feel it, which didn't worry him (and it does happen to more people so it didn't worry me either). It is now three years later, I can still feel it in the exact same spot. I found a new ob/gyn (female this time!) who had my uterus scanned, and the technician found the IUD at the very bottom of my uterus, where it does not have any effect. I don't think it moved after he placed it, which means I'm either insanely lucky or infertile. As far as I'm concerned, Dr Engeljohn is a quack.
