I don't know what I will do when she eventually decides to retire. I have been a patient for 20+ years and have yet to find a doctor quite like her. She is definitely unique and her knowledge and patient care are second to none in my opinion!

Dr. Robertson has been my doctor since I was a 5 years old. I'm now 29 and have no complaints whatsoever. I've read the above positive and negative reviews and can respond as follows: 1) Completely agree that Dr. R is helpful, knowledgeable and competent. 2) she does have an amazing memory about not only her patients’ medical problems, but also about any tangential information that comes up in conversation. 3) I am a 29 year old man. Any allegations that she favours pregnant women is completely without merit. 4) I acknowledge that she does give the appearance of being unorganised, although nothing has ever fallen through the cracks with my care. 5) And, obviously, she does have staffing problems, but as long as it does not affect my care, it is not my concern. Whether it's a receptionist or her accountant - it doesn't matter to her patients as long as she gets the job done. Which, in my view, she does. Overall Dr. R is a great GP; caring, knowledgeable and attentive.

Dr. Robertson has been my doctor for many years, and I would definitely recommend her. A very caring professional. Goes the extra mile to make sure you receive the attention required particularly referrals to best quality specialists. She is very accommodating and always puts me first as a patient. Involves you in the treatment process. A true patient advocate.

the worst gp. I have ever been to: rude and harried as she cannot keep staff as they all quit. she therefor tries to do everything and ends up forgetting why you came in first place.

Mary Robertson came into hospital and told me to get out of bed and stand up. I had just broken my back, and the orthopedic surgeon told me not to lift my head. This is only one of several horrendous stories I could tell, but I think that one is good enough to get the message accross. Stay away if you want to live.

Dr. Robertson is the best doctor I have ever had. I do not know another doctor that answers her own phone, talks to patients on weekends, evenings, is interested in a patient's emotional health. I do know that it is sometimes frustrating when she answers her phone in the middle of an appointment, but I could be the person calling too, so I am fine with that. She took such good care of me while I was pregnant and after, I am so grateful. She really cares and goes out of her way for her patients.

Excellent. As a patient, I don't concern myself with her staffing issues. She cares - excellent when I was pregnant, great with my kid, and when I looked sad during one visit, she bothered to ask further to see if she could help me. I think a family doctor who takes care of ones physical and emotional health is important. She also has the courage to admit it when something is beyond her knowledge and tries to refer us to the proper specialist to assist. She has the makings of a good doctor - and as for `rudeness' .. she's abrupt and to the point but underneath lies a good heart and a caring doctor. That's all I need.

I first became a patient of Mary's back in 1978. She has helped my husband & I with several medical situations. She was my doctor through 2 pregnancies. She has always been on the ball, even though she can give the impression of being flighty, she is not! If she thinks you need to see a specialist she has an appointment for you immediately. I would trust her with my life any day.

I have been a patient of Mary Robertson over 25 years. Her continual impatience, rudeness, condescension and abysmal manners towards both patients and staff is utterly astounding. I will no longer attend her office as I have been treated very poorly on far too many occassions. She is mean-spirited and ****. I have nothing redeemable to say about this woman any longer, I have totally lost faith in her. She actually berated me for wanting more tests for my daughter, who ended up being diagnosed with Leukemia. Mary kept saying "she has a virus". Mary has also divulged info. regarding other patients to me which I believe is against the Hypocratic oath! I am very disappointed and also disgusted that someone I have known and trusted for this long can treat people with utter disrespect. For shame!! She needs a long vacation, if not total retirement.

Dr. Robertson has been my doctor for many years, and I would definitely recommend her. Yes, she does have a very busy practice, but what good doctor doesn't nowadays? She has always acted as a strong advocate for me, for example, pushing to get me in to see specialists. She is also very good about getting me in to see her at the very last moment. I just hate to think of the day she's going to retire!!
