Dr. Simmonds was my family doctor for many years during which time he was always extremely attentive to the details of my medical issues. I felt extremely fortunate to be able to access highly qualified specialist to whom Dr. Simmonds had referred me. Dr. Simmonds had worked in the Michael Garron Hospital (formerly Toronto East General) as one of the participating physicians who worked in the Emergency Department at which time his dedication has gained him an excellent reputation among the staff. During the events of me requiring surgery, it did not escape my observation that being his patient provided me with a little extra TLC by the medical teams. I have given a lower score in punctuality due to the 'wait times' that were frequently required. As noted in many of the 'rating' Dr. Simmonds took his time to ensure you were able to walk out feeling absolutely satisfied that you were in excellent hands and that a plan of action was in place.

Excellent doctor, very humanitarian man. He was my doctor for over 25 years, until I decided to go back home, in Québec City. I really miss this doctor's good care and great compassion for human beings. Dr. Simmonds always understood my point of view about my health concerns and he always gave me the best cares and pieces of advice. Since my return to Québec City (almost 3 years now), I am still on a waiting list for a family physician to follow up my health status. The first time that I took an appointment to see Dr. Simmonds, I was accpeted right away and stayed his patient for the next 25 years. Dr. Simmonds is a fantastic person, always happy to see you and to guide you towards what's the best care for you. He is patient, he listens, he makes you feel great about your health and self esteem. If you want a wonderful doctor and a friend who cares, go to see him. After meeting him, you will see your life changing for always a better and more positive side. Thank You Dr. Simmonds for all the good care that you provided to me during all these years lived in Toronto.

I have been a patient of Dr. Simmonds for many years and he is one the most knowledgeable, helpful doctors I have ever dealt with who really cares about his patients.

takes the time to listen, send you for bloodwork, tests makes referrals. Not a 5-10 minute doctor in and out. He takes the time needed, very thorough.

Dr Simmonds has been my doctor for a very long time and I would not change him until he retires.

Awesome Doctor, been seeing him over 30 years. Sometimes you have to wait but that's because he doesn't rush you out - he cares and is worth the wait. Wait times have improved immensely over the last several years. Longest I've ever been with a doctor, used to change every year until I met Dr. Simmonds.

He has treated my aunty for over 30 years. She is now 94, thanks to his care. He always goes the extra mile when she needs him and my whole family deeply respects not only his skill as a physician, but his wisdom and experience. We don't mind waiting at all. Good things come to those who wait.

I have been with Dr. Simmonds for 32+ yrs. I have never left his office feeling like I was rushed or not listened to. He definitely runs late but that is because he gives everyone the same service he gives me and I would rather wait then to think he was rushing someone out.
He is I feel the end of the "family" doctors and I am dreading the day that I have to enter the "Clinic" practice of a group of doctors that don't know you and rush you through the system.
His assistant is not up to standards to be sure but I'm also sure there is a reason he keeps her on.

BEST GP YOU COULD EVER ASK FOR, MOSTLY LATE TO APPTS, BECAUSE HE ISN'T A 5 MINUTE IN AND OUT WITH A PRESCRIPTION DOCTOR. IN OVER 50 YEARS I HAVE HAD 3 TIMES IN EXAMINATION ROOM WITH UP TO AN HOUR. HE IS THOROUGH.
