I recently switched from Dr. Cool and Dr. Malek to Dr. Basilio. I feel the doctors at Brookstone judge your children according to a strict timeline and compare your child to others like it's the only way to assess their progress. Dr. Basilio is an older doctor who didn't make me leave feeling like a bad parent like the others did. I had no trouble understanding her. The staff fudged a little for me about my DD's visit so our insurance would cover it. Dr. B checked her hip click and said she was fine, and she didn't force her to walk but took my word for it. She also made me aware of the new virus going around and was overall gentle and knowledgable. Pediatricians aren't there to run your kid's life, something a lot of them forget. They are there to guide you along and treat your kid when you can't.

I urge anyone considering going here to do a walk through if possible. The place is just dirty and gross. The nursing staff was ok-she did really well with my son and was VERY friendly. The doctor however was not up to par. She barely spoke english so I honestly had no idea what she was saying half the time and the other half, it was irrelevant to us. She did not address my husband at all-ended every question with "...mom?" And when she checked in my sons diaper she used the term "we need to check the balls". I don't care if this is common vernacular for testicles-it is inappropriate for a doctor to use this term. And she also scratched his face while trying to see in his mouth because her nails were so long. I will NOT be going back here.

Please schedule a meeting to conduct a walk thru and see the office conditions. I feel that having dusty dirty rooms is not a place to take you child. I was referred to this office and must tell you that it is like a horror movie. The rooms are tiny and dark. There is dust all over the vents and ceilings. The walls are paneling and very thin so you hear everything going on in the next room or across the hall. The staff don't seem to want to work if you ask something of them. Just please do a walk thru. I even mailed Chris Basilio (office manager) a letter about these conditions to no affect. Go see for yourself. Maybe if you clean for a living you can get a job there. I am changing my child immediately.
