I celebrated my son's 26th birthday today, and my daughter is 16. I have been taking my children there for some time as he is the only ped's doc my 16 year old has ever seen. The office staff is his major drawback as they don't seem to care, but once you get past them and to the back, the nurses are wonderful. Angela has been there forever and Nicki was there for some time as well. Dr Mac is a great man who cares for the kids and explains things to the parents so that we understand. Most times you will have a little wait time but he's serious in what he does and takes the time that is needed with each patient. As far as the lady who rated him low and said that he didn't answer his Saturday calls...I beg to differ. My children have required his time on the weekends at least 3 times and he was always available. He came to the hospital and saw my daughter on Saturday so I think that she is just, well...lying! Some folks just want to complain. God Bless her and please help with her anger.

We have used Dr. Mac for 17 years now. I have never had a problem with his staff - they have always been friendly. They seem to have a high turnover so maybe those are the ones people are complaining about, but the nurses and staff that have been there for years are great! Dr. Mac is a wonderful doc. true he doesn't believe in giving antibotics all the time, but that is because they are so over used now. The times my kids have needed them, he's prescribed them. You do have to wait a while for your appointment, but it's worth it. It's not because he's taking a long lunch, it's because he doesn't rush through the appointment. He takes time to explain and answer any questions you have. If my child is sick and I call in the morning when they open, they always work him in. If you call later there is a chance you can't get it, but you can speak to a nurse and if they think your child needs to be seen they will schedule something. Dr. Mac is smart and caring! He gets to know your child. :)

All three of my kids have used Dr. Mac. The one reason he is sometimes late is because he is wanted as peoples pediatrician. Great demeanor, great nurses. The front desk can be**** sometimes. But I love Dr. Mac and the nurses!!!

I really like Dr. Macleod, BUT his staff is not very nice. They don't care that you need your child to be seen when they are sick. I can not EVER get my son in to see the doc when he's sick. Also Dr. Macleod doesn't like to give meds and I have had to take my son to the after hours place several times because he was not well after seeing the doctor. So we are trying to find a doctor that we like and that is able to see our kids when they are sick.

Late but you get the time you need when it's your turn. Nursing staff very helpful, front staff short at times, but the back makes up for the shortcomings. He's behind not because he doesn't care, but because he does.
