Had Dr. Brock do surgery on my knee in 1992. The rehab was painful and a lot of work but well worth it. I'm 50 years old now and the knee has been great. Thanks Dr. Brock

Worts Surgeon ever. Refused to send me to MRI after I had a knee injury. With my 3 visits, he confirmed I torn my ACL and then said I did not and then said I did. It is not only the confusion but the waste of my time. All he cares about is his trainee instead of his patients. He asked his trainees thousands of questions and explained nothing to be. Eventually, I found more useful info from the online source than from this surgeon. If you could, please avoid this doctor to save your time.

had my right knee replaced 5 years ago and since .my life has been horrible . IT was installed 1.5 cm out of align which affected placement of my torso snd giving me pinched nerves in both hips and SI joints. I got a second opinion from 2 ortho surgeons at Sunnybrook who confirmed bad installation and shocked at procedures by Dr Brock at each of my visits. Rehab was horrible because he would not prescribe pain Killers other than Extra Strength Tylenol . When he would spend the time at the weekly appt. at the hospital usually 45 minutes off time for appointment and i would tell him as he passed through my exam room his comment was "Suck it up. You are walking". I complained to the head of medicine at the hospital who did nothing. I complained to the College of Physicians and Surgeons who threaten me that if I pursued this they would "make my life a living non-heaven (have been prevented from using the other word)over the next two years". Not impressed with the doctors or the system under which he works in. His staff were excellent . Both knees are now shot so I thank the arrogant guy (censored) with starting the downhill decline. I am amazed there are so many good comments here about him. Must have been a day he paid attention in the OR as being a teaching hospital maybe a student implanted mine and doc was not paying attention. None of these statement made by me he will admit to. I am now 75 and unfortunately thanks to him and that knee transplant my elder years will be very painful. I wish that when he retires he has as non-heaven (again censored) a one as I am having. FYI to those reading this I had two other operations at NYGH and the doctors and their staff and outcome was superb . Too bad they all don't have the same golden spoon in the butt - as he thinks he does..

Best Doctor EVER!!!!
I was one of Dr Brocks first patients after he got out of medical school in 1978. I had a brutal fall in gymnastics and tore my artery in my right arm and broke the bone. First look by another surgeon, they wanted to amputate at the elbow. My mom begged for a second opinion and that's when I first met Dr Brock. He changed my life forever. I am now 46 just about 40 years since my accident. My arm is working great maybe a little stiff at times but I will be forever grateful to Dr Brock. I went to see him about 12 years after my accident and he remembered me like it was yesterday. He said " you my girl gave me my first grey hair". If you have the privilege of having him as a doctor, consider yourself extremely blessed. Thank you Dr. Brock! FYI I alway tell people that the scare was from a shark attack...lol
Warmest Regards,

Dr. Brock misdiagnosed my son's elbow injury and said he could lose the use of his arm. He performed an unnecessary ulnar nerve transplant. Physio did not help and the physiotherapist said he suspected a different problem. The physiotherapist came to our next appointment with us to tell Dr. Brock what he believed the problem to be. Dr. Brock belittled the physiotherapist since he was not a doctor. Dr. Brock offered to operate again. No. We went to Mt. Sinai where Dr. Ron Taylor made the same diagnosis as the physiotherapist! He referred us to an orthapaedic surgeon at Mt. Sinai who also made the same diagnosis. She operated on the correct problem and my son has full use of his arm. I would never use Dr. Brock! Be very careful.
