Is technically proficient but can be very heavy handed and is looking to cash in a little too hard, thus the rushed demeanor. Also the reason he had multiple locations I think. Seemed to be too busy and I had my worst dental experience with a replacement dentist who was there when he wasn't which happened often as well. He is not terrible. Just biting off more than he can chew:) Office has a bland ambiance, like you imagine a dentist's office would. Staff were reasonable. He was a let down.

Dr. Luckhurst has been my dentist for ~10 years and I have always found him to be kind, thoughtful, and thorough. During a recent checkup he found a lump on my throat and recommended I get it checked out. It turned out that I have hyperthyroidism and severe vitamin D deficiency, which I would never have discovered until my symptoms had become much worse. My GP said she had never heard of a dentist who checked for things like this. I think Dr. Luckhurst is the best.

I genuinely enjoy seeing Dr Luckhurst. I was going to another dentist in the same clinic, who basically ignored my teeth and let them rot in my head. Charged me a fortune for simply ignoring me. Dr Luckhurst on the otherhand - has not only fixed my teeth - but made it painless each time! He sat and listened to me and chatted with me for a half hour after my visit...as well, he helped diagnosed a medical issue my own GP would not diagnose. Best dentist I have ever seen!

Dr. Luckhurst is kind and knowledgeable, and not one of those dentists looking at his patients with dollar signs in his eyes.

Adrian's clinic is appropriately named Abacus. He does not genuinely care for his patients; is a good actor;money is paramount for him; pursuit of money, even after a stroke. He grossly underpays his staff.

Dragging out one, I said one root canal to the tune of $1000.00 was ridiculous, then asking for a print out of the "PROCEDURES" was not complied with, I quit this dentist, I think most are pirates as there is no real control on what thay can charge, so the just gooooooo for the gusto

In consultation Dr. L recommended 3 fillings be done on a Downs Syndrome patient. These were to be done in hospitol, as the patient has trouble in the chair. Dr. L was two hours late for the OR, then needed assistance with getting him into the operating chair in the OR. When I met the patient in recovery I was shocked and so were the nurses - aghast at his condition. All of his teeth had been pulled and he had stitches and a morphine drip, he was in shock - he had been promised a trip to KFC after the "Quick fillings", instead he spent 14 days in hospitol recovering. His family didn't sue, though they were all traumitized. The VIHA therapist later said that this is a commen practise for group home patients - in his defense Dr.L said he thought the patient was "in a home". The nurses were angels, as his 67 year old mother had to stay in hospitol, to provide communication and assist caregiving. He is now terrafied of hospitols. In my opinion he's only out to make money. I'd have sued.

I've been seeing Dr Luckhurst for quite a few years now and he has done better work with better bite than any dentist I have ever had. I've referred family members to him and we have all been very happy. I started with one of his associates and when the associate left I was transferred to Adrian -- I'm not leaving!

I really can't understand the negative comments (or the insinuations about mental illness?). I have been a patient of Dr. Luckhurst for over 10 years and he is the best dentist I have ever had. Not only have I had excellent dental care (crowns, bridges and dental appliances), but last year it was Dr. Luckhurst rather than my G.P.) who listened and took me seriously when I had breathing and other problems -- and even took the time to listen to my story and even referred me to his own G.P. (since I needed a new one who would listen). The problem turned out be a potentially serious one (his intuition was right on)-- and I will be forever grateful to him for being there to listen to me when another medical professional wasn't. Thank you Dr. Luckhurst. (I do understand the complaint about being unhappy when we've booked an appointment with Dr. L. and we get another dentist.)

Dr. Luckhurst was my dentist in the early 80s and again since 2000, when I maved back to Victoria. He has done root canals, crowns, fillings, fixed and broken tooth and fixed a toothache for me. When I broke my tooth at work I was back with my tooth temporarily repaired 2 hours after I broke it. He has always been on time and has been very accommodating and easy to talk to. He is very up to date on what works best and is passionate about dentistry.
