I like him a lot. He has helped me twice with back problems. Thank God for him. I did get a letter
today that beginning October he will be no longer with Augusta Back. I miss him already and
hopefully I find out where he'll be working. I really love this Dr.

First be prepared for a long wait in the waiting room, atleast an hour in my experience. Dr Cable was very rude and showed very little compassion! In a big rush to get you out. Interest in treating you goes way down if you are not interested in doing injections. The first thing the nurse and Dr Cable will ask you is if you will do steroid injections, and if you don't show much interest in them or they haven't worked in the past, then their interest in treating you goes way down. Also if you are being referred by another Dr and are already taking pain med, be prepared to be cut way back on that, even if it is helping you with your pain control, as they seem to think that injections are the only way to go. But you have to remember, the injections are very expensive, you have to do it more than once, and Dr Cable performs the injections himself. It's a money maker of course. One of the nurses that I dealt with was very rude to me over some confusion about some dates of some procedures, seemed to be alot of confusion, miscommunication, between Dr Cable and his nurses. I can not recommend Dr Cable for your back pain treatment.

He seems to make up his mind before even speaking with you. Yes, maybe this has something to do with his extensive education however shouldn't he at least take the time to see how the patient is feeling by asking. Also, he tends to believe everyone is pill seeking, and I need this medication myself to function. It's very frustrating to be perceived as a drug addict when I'm in actually pain and in need of relief.

I HAVE HAD INJECTIONS, ON MY SECOND MED COMBO IN SUCH PAIN. TRIED TO MAKE AN APPT AND WAS TOLD I NEED TO GIVE MEDS 4 WEEKS TO WORK. THEY DO NOT SEEM TO UNDERSTAND THAT I AM IN TERRIBLE PAIN, BEEN CALLING TWO WEEKS IN A ROW. IT IS VERY SAD TO BE REFUSED AN APPOINTMENT BY YOUR DR WHEN YOU ARE IN PAIN. I AM WORSE NOW THAT BEFORE THE LAST ROUND OF MEDS.... I GUESS I NEED A NEW DR.

I have been going to Dr. Todd Cable for many years. If It weren't for his extreme knowledge of pain management I don't know what I would've done. I regularly get lower back injections and he also explained to me in 2004 about Medtronics nerostimulator. I highly recommend Dr. Cable. He is a compassionate and caring physician.

He helped my Aunt who had pinched nerve in her neck...he did an invasive procedure and has her on a strong psychotropic med for maintenance. I saw him for spinal arthritis and fibromyalgia. He wanted to do a 2-step procedure requiring gen. anesthesia both times. Is very difficult to talk to or ask a question of because he speaks as tho he is reading from a medical textbook. My aunt took her daughter with her because of this; otherwise wouldn't know what he was saying. Makes up his mind quickly and is aggravated if one wishes to ask about anything else. When I mentioned fibromyalgia he said, "if your muscles are sore then you should get back to your hiking." This is why I rated him low on knowledge: fms is not caused by inactivity nor defined by 'sore muscles'. I told of bad reactions to gen. anesthesia. He wasn't deterred. His plan was set period. fwiw: didn't prescribe any meds for me; told my aunt Topomax is "the" med for neck pain. He IS good for nerve blocks.

I have been going to this dr. for 8yrs. and he has been so good. He takes the time to fine a way to take the pain away without using drugs first. Then he starts the meds. that best suits the patient.
