I'm rating this office based on the experience of my elderly parents. Their experience was so terrible in terms of wait times (hours) and rude, unfriendly behavior by the
Dr. Fiander that they would rather drive to Toronto to see a specialist than return to Dr Fiander's practice.

Dr. was fantastic, and very forthcoming with his evaluation of the situation. Most of the staff was good, although 1-2 were very blunt and rather rude. Dr. was not always on time, although he did really line up the patients well, if your waiting this is due to emergencies and similar circumstances that may bump your actual apt. time. I gave a 5* because I was initially an emergency, and was taken asap, but follow ups I sometimes waited while he treated other emergency situations. (100% understandable)

Staff are rude and very unhelpful which must be directed by the doctor. Leaves phone message for and appointment a year out and when you miss a photo taking because there is no reminder they drop you as a patient. How's that for health care. I know I missed the appointment but all of my other health care providers do provide reminders. I this case even if I was ill there was no accommodation.

Staff are rude, disrespectful and have no patience for anyone. They are in a profession that people should possess empathy and understanding and they dont have any.

I’ve been a patient with Dr. Fiander since 2008 for treatment of branch retinal vein occlusion (BRVO) in one of my eyes. I get injections in my eye when needed to clear up fluid build up that may impair my vision. The doctor is very skilled in what he does. I never feel much discomfort during the injection process. He is very thorough, precise and polite. We are fortunate to have such a good doctor in Windsor.
The support staff are excellent.

Bottom line: my eyes are better. Can't find fault there. But the staff are clueless and the doc is impatient.

Hate this Doctor . He is unapproachable, intimidating and a bully. Would like to find another ophthalmologist . Could anyone recommend one.
