He was the doctor on call when my husband had complications during a stent procedure. He, alone with a team of doctors saved my husband’s life.

Many thanks to Dr. Jeremy Wood for performing my extended septal myectomy for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy with obstruction. He really went the extra mile for me and did my surgery on short notice (2 days) . Everything that was going to happen was explained to me before, and everything that was done was explained to me when he met with me a couple days after. I can't tell you how much better I feel. Thank you for saving my life.

Doctor Wood, when you visited us before Anna's surgery you gave her twenty years post the operation you performed. You were close but were off by five years. Anna had twenty-four very good years. The last year was not so good, but Anna did not want any further surgery. Thank you for the time you gave Anna. I only have accolades for your practice and the way you handle yourself, bed side manner. May your practice prosper and may you have the satisfaction of knowing you have made a difference in so many lives.

Jack Morrison and my sons.

I had moderate aortic regurgitation, and 4.7 aortic root dilatation I did not have any symptoms. I was mid forties at that time
dr. wood recommended fixing the aortic root and valve
after the surgery,
my life changed completely after the surgery
before the surgery I had only a symptomatic aortic regurgitation, I used to work 6 days a week, I used to go to the gym regularly, I liked traveling .
everything changed after the surgery the moderate regurgitation become severe in addition to new aortic stenosis. also im getting recurrent A fib. which requires ER visit and cardioversion with risk of stroke.
so instead of fixing the valve, the surgery made the valve worse and create more problems.
the frustrating thing is that the surgery was not indicated at that time
after consulting few cardiologist after having the surgery, all of them told me that the surgery was not indicated at that time

Excellent dr. But I have to agree he is not punctual. But then he is an excellent surgeon and is always in demand.

Dr. Wood repaired my aortic aneurysm with an aortic root and valve replacement January 17, 2017. I am key west, FLA with my girlfriend ( February 22,2018) and I feel like I am 20 years old ( I am 42)! My condition is continually improving and I am back to the gym 3-5 times per week. He saved my life and am very greatful for his skill and knowledge to repair my condition. Thank you Dr. Wood and staff member of the CVICU/IMCU!

23th March, 2015 Dr. Wood performed 5CBGs and at the same time severed my left Phrenic nerve. Dr. Wood said that he didn't think that it would have any consequences. My heart appears to be fine, but I've had problems with severe congestion of throat and nose, and difficulty breathing since then. It's almost three years now and my problems are getting worse rather than better. One line of investigation on my part into what is actually going on, has led me to understand that because of the paralysis and elevation of my diaphragm on the left, the left lung has only got half, or less, the space it requires to function properly. I understand that after three years the phrenic nerve will not regenerate or repair, and I will continue to have these symptoms and possibly worse, with the probability of it leading to pneumonia at some point. Investigation tells me that an operation could be performed, to sew down the elevated paralyzed part of the diaphragm, enabling the left lung to expand and perhaps my breathing would normalize, and if the lung can function as it's supposed to, then perhaps the 'congestion' in my throat and nose would improve. After this experience, I would certainly hesitate to have any further dealings with surgeons, and especially Dr. Wood. After this surgery, the visits to his office were a nightmare, with all his patients being booked seemingly at the same time. Regardless of the time you were given for an appointment, you'd still have to wait about 4 hours to get to see him. So many post-operative people sitting around for hours in a crowded waiting room. I was not impressed with Dr. Wood. His nurse was very nice though.
