Doctor Darlington was late to my appointment and has a brusque, unpleasant manner. He avoids eye contact and mumbles. He fires out questions saying "do you have.." and rattles off 20 conditions so fast you can't remember any but the last one or two. If you hesitate he asks "Are you trying to make something up?"! He doesn't recognize the names of his peers and was unfamiliar with treatments I mentioned. He thought he was a better judge of pain and injury than an orthopaedic surgeon and a anasthesiologist despite not physically examining me! He mostly works now by preparing reports for people who want to find someone guilty of malingering. If you look at his reports online ALL instances site malingering! Every one I could find on Google! Most judges know not to listen to him, I recommend staying away from him. I personally feel he has issues himself to write so many nasty reports!

Dr. Darlington did the unthinkable: he told me that there IS NO medication for me, and that I'd likely end-up a drug addict. This, after only two trials of medication! I am still _not_ a drug addict, and never was. What a horrible thing to say! I sensed that he lied a lot. He stated that he did not have the authority to put my in Hospital (which is false). He would not prescribe benzodiazepines, eventhough they would have allowed me to go back to work. An irrational choice! Had only very limited knowledge on Anxiety Disorders. Have now found a Psychiatrist (after searching many years) who is much more Knowledgable and Helpful. Oh, and my Anxiety status is now much better. Shame on you Dr. Darlington !!

I had a stroke like reaction to a WCB referred cotisone injection. I had nearly another stroke having to go to Darlington, during his "interrogation" and then again when I read his report..Malingering?? for gain?? Is there no shame. What a waste of taxpayer's money.Yes to class action lawsuit.Seems pretty obvious to me he had to come up with something to meet the objective, get me off WCB because I wasn't "cured' by the arbitarary deadline.where is that in the Oath?Shame shame.

This doctor is a paid hired gun. He has a standard fill in the blank report that just changes with patient particular. According to him everyone is a malingering. Despite negative press and numerous reports to the Alberta College of Physicians and Surgeons he is still permitted to hold a license to practice. He went so far as to take a hospital release form, create a false hospital card and signed his name where my name should have been and obtained medical records that he was not entitled to have access to as indicated by a judge's order. Fortunately most doctors checked with me over the validity of the release form and did not release any information, but unfortunately not everyone did. I was a lucky one in that he was not permitted to testify in court and his report was trashed.

I blame the college of physicians and surgeons as much as I blame this man for the business he runs. Itis a buisness and his opinion IS for sale if you have the money. He provides opinions for the WCB and for anyone else that pays the price. It is apparent from the comments above that if anyone needs psychiatric intervention, it is this individual. He has no problem whatsoever from ruininig lives for the sake of $$. This is the worse of the worse. The college should be ashamed of itself for continuing to licence such an individual.

Paul Darlington - clinically unsound not worthy of being called a doctor writes 50 page canned reports and has found more malingers liars in Alberta then the rest of the Alberta Community combined. He has found a gold mine writing reports for WCB who performs criminal acts on accident victims. I would join any class action - my e-mail is grand19@hotmail.com Please report this man to the College of Physicians - hopefully they will have the guts to take action. If I get enough support I will take action..

Dr. Paul Darlington works for insurance companies. His job is to interview people and present a report that indicates why the person being interviewed should be denied insurance benefits. Those who have visited him at the request of an insurance company likely have not done so on their own will but because of a contract with the insurance company. His victims usually have already had a long fight with insurance and the insurance needs "proof" to deny the claim. I have personally witnessed someone being interviewed and saw the resulting report. My advice to anyone who has been asked to see this creep is to talk with a lawyer first!

This man has ruined too many peoples lives and should be sued till he is bankrupt. He told vicious lies about my mother and father and the rest of our family. My mother "abused drugs and alcohol" and my father was"physicaly abusing her" or she was "doing self harm for personal gain".His report resulted in a 85% cut in my mothers pension and extreme emotional damage to our family. He is evil. Any person who has been told to see him should protest and ask for an independant doctor to do the exam and if they must see him insist on having someone else there with you. He does not believe in Fibromyalgia and consistantly finds for the insurance co. or what ever company has paid thousands to him for his report, and he is paid well for destroying lives. What is the worst thing you can say to someone with chronic pain or depression? IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD. I wonder how many have commited suicide as a result of his remarks?

It was much more an interrogation than an assessment. Throughout the exam I was pressured to answer questions quickly. It was like this guy had 2-3 too many shots of espresso before he sat down with me. This demeanor continued throughout the length of the exam. When the video tape of this assessment is viewed and compared with the 36 page report it very clearly shows that a lot of what is written in the report is false information and that a lot of what was said is taken out of context, twisted around and then written in the report. On page 27 (1st paragraph, last line) of Dr. Darlington’s 36 page report he states, “this writer does not recommend any words, passage, paragraphs, or sections be deleted from this report under the guise of the Freedom of Information and Privacy Act or similar.” This clearly states that Dr. Darlington feels that the law should be broken to further exploit my privacy. I am definitely joining this class action law suit.

This Doctor has no interest in helping anyone but his pocket book, he threatens you with his credentials that he could get you put away if he so pleased, has one spot in room where video and audio can't pick up, he has no integrity sold it to highest bidder, but if you put several peoples fat reports he has written side by side there are many sections saying the same about us all, and so totally off the mark. As far as I know I think I am in the 1st class action suit against him. If you notice his whole interview and 700-800 questions on questionaire all it is is repeatative of do you love your Mother,Father, and many ways of asking if you are suicidal, excuse me but I was injured on the job my back and shoulder, I like living just fine thank you and Love my parents. I put 1 for unknowledeable of proper relative type interviews, could go higher for knowlege of how to screw people for big money pull his licence is my opinion after he compensates for the damage he has caused
