Took my elderly mother to see him (referral) and was forced to wait over an hour. Then he came is with sores all over his mouth and was incredibly rude. Only spoke to me, and not my mother (the patient!). I told him my mother is hard of hearing, and he kept speaking softly, or only speaking to me as if she wasn't there. Very rude, terrible doctor. DO NOT recommend.

Treats his staff and patients poorly . Makes you wait for hours and is then rude to you if you ask questions.

Long waiting time, but you could be sure to be treated by very experienced and knowledgeable Doctor. He is friendly, caring but very busy , therefore don't expect lots of communication.
I was send to him from the emergency room because my retina problem.
It wax fixed by laser . I was alcohol diagnosed with cataract and underwent surgery on one eye, waiting for the other eye to be operated.
I was very scared and nervous, but Dr.Curran have very calming personality and his professionalism helped me to ease my fear. I am still waiting for the other eye to be fixed and hope for the best. Dr.curran is very skilled and kind Doctor, I would recommend him highly.

Had cataract surgery, laser surgery and several injections for macular degeneration. he came highly recommended by my optometrist and it is well deserved he saved my vision. he is busy and sometimes the wait is long as he is also on call and has to give priority to patients being operated on by other doctors. I didnt mind as understand this. but a solution is to make appointment for 8:30 am the start of the morning session or 1pm the start of the afternoon session. if it is just for injections you can see his colleague Dr Leung who is also good and save seeing Dr Curren for surgery and major issues. He is busy but he takes the time to discuss things with me and give me his opinion on issues i ask about. I have never felt he gave me anything but his best and would recommend him without reservation.

I had my first visit with Dr. Curran today. I have had blurry vision in my left eye for over a year. Apparently, after cataract surgery you can develop a film over the implant, which blurs your vision. Dr. Curran was very pleasant and was able to take care of my problem immediately by using a laser. His assistant explained the procedure putting me at ease. The procedure took less than 5 minutes. I can see clearly now out of my left eye. Thank you Dr.Curran and staff.

Was referred to him in 2012 because of blood vessel rupture in the eye. Waited almost 3 hrs (in 2 waiting rooms and finally in the room) to see him. Observed that he reads patients' charts before coming to see you and as such, diagnosis right then from the chart. He came in, spend less than 5 mins and blamed it on my make-up. In 2013, had same issue and saw him and was sent away with a prescription. Will not recommend this doctor because he is only intereste on how many patients he can see in a day. Does not care PERIOD.

Dr. Curran confirmed my detached retina and operated on me that evening. Saw me the next morning, everything went well. He is however, very very very busy, so do not expect small talk. Be on time at his office, he expects punctuality. You will wait some, as in any busy practice, but you will get timely professional care. I was referred by Dr T. Ing earlier that day, so all in all, it was 10 hours from first diagnosis, to referral, to post-op. WOW! Saved my eye!

Dr Curran lacks rapport with patients. He has a lack of communication. I asked him a question and his response was I would answer but you would not understand. He is not patient if you are a patient who blinks. I would not recommend him to anyone.

I was referred on an urgent basis and my appointment was the next business day in the morning - great! Staff was very polite and helpful. Doctor was professional, kind, thorough, helpful, knowledgeable, did not waste time, but did not rush me either. You people who complain need to check your own attitude - do you treat the staff an doctor the way you want to be treated? They can't possibly tell you how long it will be because they don't know how long each patient will require! I would recommend this doctor and staff to anyone who has a good attitude to begin with.

Dr. Curran made a lasting impact on my life. After seeing two other ophthalmologist in the area who misdiagnosed my condition I was finally referred to a doctor who knows what he's doing. Ultimately he saved my vision and I will be forever indebted to this man. Very gentle demeanor and although he seemed distant at times, ultimately you could tell he really cared about his patients. His staff on the other hand was extremely rude and unprofessional, Apparently asking how much longer my wait is, isn't deemed as an appropriate question in the eyes of this pretentious bunch.
