Believes in medication being at the lowest dose necessary to manage symptoms. He instructed me how to start reducing my meds, in what order, etc. I managed to come off everything and had no issues. Turns out my RA wasn't actually RA and I hadn't been in remission like I had been told by others. Been off the meds for more than 5 years now!

My first appt with Dr Ramsden was virtual -on it he suggested i had inflammatory arthritis and Lupus, the lupus diagnosis was a suprise to me. After that, during COVID, I tried several times to make a followup appointment, but no one answered the phone for over a half of a year dispite multiple messages being left on vmail. Only after COVID was disipating in mid-2022 did I finally get a return call and a snarly receptionist refused to set up an appt saying it had been 2 years since I saw him, which was not even true and which over 6 month of this time I could not see him because they did not answer phones. I was told I needed another referal from a GP. So I had to go back to a GP and the GP then tried to get me a different rheumatologist but the referals failed, because the new ones said I had a rheumatologist already. Three months later I get an email unilaterally scheduling an appointment for Dr Ramsden. The delay and arrogant treatment makes me never want to go back to this office again.

Like many doctors, Dr Ramsden needs to see proof of your pain by way of your test results. If you report symptoms but have no clinical signs, he probably won't be as much help as you feel you need. I can understand that, in this day and age of pain-killer addictions. It's discouraging for people who truly suffer daily chronic pain, but if there's nothing showing up in your results, you'll have to find another way to manage it or learn to live with it. He is most definitely willing to do tests though and will give suggestions for pain management that don't include prescription meds. I appreciate that. He's also excellent at explaining things, if you're willing to listen. Like any specialist, he's always a little behind in his appointments, but we all know to expect that. In my experience, he's only ever been 15-20 minutes late seeing me. I don't find his front staff overly friendly but they're not rude.

Dr Rmasden Changed my life dramatically and I could not be more thankful. When everyone else sent me away with wrongful diagnosis and more and more Anti-inflammatory drugs, Dr. Rmasden took the time to find the problem and proper solution. Prior to being referred to him, I was near cripple at 35 years old due to psoriatic arthritis, 2 years later after trials, follow up and finding "the right" treatment. I'm back to full mobility, in the gym, mountain biking 3-4 times per week and have an amazing quality of life back! Thank you!

Dr Ramsden is a chill guy, very knowledgeable and helpful. Gets to the point and knows what he is doing.
