Dr.Choi is an outstanding pain treatment doctor. When other doctors didn't provide me with relief, Dr. Choi did. He is a no nonsense (Yale University trained) physician. But he get results! Fanwood NJ

Absolutely horrible experience with this nasty, condescending doctor. I'm writing this 3 yrs AFTER my time with him - it was so bad, I found this website today & want to tell others. 1st meeting was fine. When I went for a shot- sciatica- they didn't put me under before starting procedure so I yelled "ow!". Doctors quickly put me under right then. Shot never relieved any pain so I went for a second shot. Before starting the procedure, I asked Dr Choi his opinion about alternate procedures if this 2nd shot doesn't work. He began yelling at me - literally-(very surreal) about how doesn't know about other procedures, just the shot, and "do I want the shot or not?" and also he yelled at me that I wouldn't go under anesthesia easily the first time, which made it hard for him.I was reduced to tears. Please know I am a married 47 yr old Personal Trainer with 2 kids - I was respecful & of average weight,so it wasn't my fault about anesthesia 1st time.I left quickly w/out a shot. HORRIBLE MAN

I'll try to balance the disparate views of the previous commentators. He is wonderful, witty (helpful when you are in pain) and extremely compassionate. His "gatekeeper" receptionist is horrible and acts like she's doing you a favor if she allows you an appointment.

Dr. Choi is the best doctor in his specialty. He is extremely caring, takes all the time each patient needs. His expertice in the field of intervential pain management is far above those of his peers. He has been chosen as one of the Top Doctors in both NY and NJ. He has over 25 years of experience. His staff is the best, and most caring ladies I have ever met. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They never over book if at all possible allowing Dr. Choi the time he needs to examine and explain everything his patients need to know. I highly recommend him.

The worst Doctor I've ever encountered and I've seen numerous Doctors with my condition. I have several injections in L5-S1 there was no CT guided needle on the contrary the Doctor has you lean over a hospital bed while he takes his chances with your spinal cord. When asked what kind of medication he's using he told me 'the kind that will help you' never gave me the actual name until I had severe adverse effects. He also did a discogram and has absolutely no record of his findings . So I had to pick up the films and have my neurosurgeon tell me what the diagnosis was , unreal . His office staff act very friendly when you're there once you call and need something or medicals records or make them stand up theyre unothodox unethical and unprofessional as the doctor himself. How this character got in the 'Top Doctor Book' Ill never know ,Maybe I should try for the nobel peace prize no reason I shouldn't get it if this 'doctor' got in a credible book.
