Dr. McCubbin was fantastic! She was my OB from 30 weeks with my first pregnancy. As a first time Mom at the age of 39 I was anxious and nervous about a lot of things. Dr. McCubbin always made time to answer my questions (actually sat down and looked and had conversations with me) and made sure I was reassured and had all my questions answered. I found her knowledgeable and personable, she has a great sense of humour!

She is always on time for her appointments unless she is called in to do a delivery which is amazing considering I was always waiting for my GP at least an hour!

She was amazing during my delivery and I couldn't be more thankful I choose her. My little guy is perfect and healthy thanks to her!

I'm not sure what all the complaints about Margie and the receptionist are about, I loved them! After seeing the crap they deal with in a daily basis I wonder how much of it is the entitlement of the patient and not the staff...

Dr. McCubbin was great! She was my OB while pregnant with my daughter and was straight forward, to the point and gave upfront answers to all my questions. She made things easy for me as I always felt informed and confident/comfortable with what was to come through each stage of pregnancy and delivery. I would recommend her to anyone!

NIGHTMARE C-SECTION and postpartum care:
I was going for my second C-section for failure to progress and I was unlucky enough to have this monster. Near the end of my shotgun section, I could FEEL THE SCALPEL AND CAUTERY. It was unlike the other normal sensations felt during a section and I asked her to stop. It was excrutiating. She poked her head over the curtain and snarled "I'm almost done. What do you want me to do here?!" She refused to wait for more epimorph in my spinal so I asked the anesthetist for propofol to get me through. Thank goodness I have medical training. I couldn't imagine how nightmarish this would be for someone who didn't.
She used staples instead of sutures (because why waste time when you can cut more women?) and I got a wound infection. Her secretary HOUNDED me for my out-of-province health care number for billing and when I mentioned I had a wound infection, that she was responsible for, I was directed back to my own OB. Finally I got an OB on call days later, who gasped at the puss-filled, gaping wound I had cared for myself as best as possible. It could have been taken care of with a simple appointment or a prescription call in to a pharmacy.
There is more, but this is the most glaring breeches of professionalism that I encountered in my experience with this person. I hope others can avoid this experience as well.

Dr McCubbin was my DR for my 1st child - but the day I went into labour she wasn't on call and someone else delivered. I am now 7mths on my second and I went back with her - she is friendly, to the point, and quick - lets face it, she is a BUSY women. The nurse Margie has always been quite friendly but receptionist gets frustrated easy, although she hasn't really been rude to me, I have seen it on many occasions. Perhaps the Franklin Coveys 7 Habits of Highly Effective People would be something that could improve her behavior. We put our receptionist through it and it done a world of good. If not she was going to be fired with weekly complaints.

This comment is for her staff named corrin/karen only. Called her to reschedule my appointment and she got frustrated started asking personal questions and bullied me that no I have to show up that very day. The doctor has been good no comments about that but the receptionist lady has been a horror and has zero customer service skills for this job.

Dr Mccubbin was my doctor during my preganancy, intially it was great but right at the end I was almost being forced to have a c section when I went into the hospital after 2 rounds of cervidil. I stood my ground and managed to have my baby vaginally but not happy that she didnt even want to give vaginal birth a chance. Apart from that she was amazing throughout my pregnancy and took the time to listen and give advice. Her front office nurse needs to learn to be more friendly, makes me uncomfortable even when I just call in for something.
