Computers don’t communicate between STAT research and regular practice. Each visit feels like I’m there to listen to his banter rather than him listening to my health conditions. Had to babysit the simple process of renewing a prescription as it was first denied, then filled but never sent to the pharmacist.

I have been a patient of Dr. Wolfe's for 25 years and he has been a godsend. He was THE only doctor in a long line of them who listened, took me seriously, and has consistantly provided the most up to date medical care. Fibromyalgia is not easy to diagnose or treat, and many if not most family practice docs do not want to deal with it. I moved out of the area many years ago and have continued to make the three and a half hour drive back to Dayton to keep him as my doc......and it's well worth it. Only once in all these years did I have a long wait at my appointment and that was due to an emergency concerning another patient. I have been given that same consideration many times during my appointments when there were multiple issues to address. In my own emergency situation he personally made phone calls to check up on my status and advise me. That is unheard of! He is a doctor that really cares about his patients. He not only has the medical knowledge; he practices the "art" of medicine.

Dr. Wolfe does diagnosis Fibromyalgia, but family physician can treat Fibromyalgia. Patients do not need a Rheumatologist to treat this disease. He is very active with Arthritis and Gout patients. He is very knowledgeable, but is a solo practice making it difficult to get an appointment. He does personally call his patients in the evenings after appointment hours have ended if he feels a need to talk to them. I only wish that he could get a PA or be cloned.

Dr. Wolfe is wonderful! Kind, patient, and very thorough. My pain level when I went to see him was over the top and he is helping me to find the safest medicines for me to be comfortable.
