Dr Rene is an excellent Doctor. Very Knowledgeable & Professional . Excellent diagnostic skills. Highly recommended. Staff at the clinic are generally not that good.

Why does the College of Physicians allow such a doctor to continue practising? All the complaints I read below are true and not exaggerated. I left this doctor a long time ago for the same reasons.

terrible and rude doctor...half blind. He should stop practicing because he is incapable doing physical examination. His secretary is completely useless no knowledge and lazy. Not recommended

Went for a 'meet and greet"... will never go back. Late, dismissive and not a good listener and rude.

This is the worst walk-in clinic experience I have ever had. I went in complaining of sinus and ear pain. He asked me what antibiotics I would like...an odd question given that he is the doctor and I am the
patient. I questioned how he could be certain of the intervention required
without even doing a cursory exam. He then pretended to check my ears ...he didn’t even put the scope in my ear! This man should not have a license.

My experience was totally negative. During our so-called "Meet and Greet", he did not give me any opportunity to explain why I wanted to change doctors, or even to talk at all. Since I am on ODSP, he asked what my problem was, and then said there would be a communication issue, and that I would have to bring my "caseworker" along for every visit , which is totally ridiculous, demeaning, and discriminatory. As a dude with his own disability problem, I am hugely offended by his arrogant and rude dismissal of me.

Congrats to those who have had a good experience with Dr. Rene after encountering the person at 2 Walk In's almost a decade apart,- previously the Crossways, now 2299 Dundas St. W -(part of (Trillium Dr. Office) I have to concur with those who shared negative reviews. Particularly in the areas of arrogance and sharpness . I actually asked his name as I was pretty sure this was the same person that turned me off the Crossways Clinic when it existed. Once he confirmed that, I knew the relationship will be short lived and while his attitude was about the same from my time before glad to see he has lost weight and looks a bit healthier. if you're looking to get a referral, or some basic signature scribbling on paper and comfortable with brashness he can suffice like many doctors can . As to how good a practitioner he actually is wouldn't know because if step A isn't working (Conversation level) "Why On Earth " would one want to see that person for Step B? I Found the staff quite pleasant so no issue for me in that category. There are some positive reviews listed here and again,
happy for those that are fortunate to have had a successful result. But, for the person who said the negative reviews are "Down Right Lies"that doesn't make sense. Unless the person was in the room at the time as the one posting you really can't speak on behalf of others. This is not a Lynch Mob just a review forum. There will be plenty of Good and Bad when it comes to Doctors and one's personal experience with them Best of Luck with your Present and Future choices

Dr Rene is completely useless and rude doctor. He’s half blind , cant do examination properly. I went at his clinic for ear clogged Dr Rene asked her assistant to get another lady to check my ears . This doctor and assistant are both useless. The CPSO should investigate him since this is medical issue.

Dr. Rene is an excellent doctor. He is very caring and quite thorough. He has helped me quit smoking and he was helpful all along the way. I understand that some people had a bad experience but, for me, it does not represent my experience.
