Good Doctor.. little overly cautious at times, but no problem with sending you to a specialist as part of his cautiousness. Glad he is being stricter recently on the 1 problem rule- when he was a little lax on it he was late all the time, sometimes upto an hour. But recently better. Easy to get an appointment, I think he leaves times open for call ins, with small kids this is nice to be able to get in some days.

Before even talked to by the Dr. Saly, given a paper on precancerous cells and cancer. By the time the doctor came in 10 minutes later I was in a panic and trying desperately not to cry. I am pretty young, healthy and I was unncessarily worried and confused, as it turns out my results were not serious or something to lose sleep over. However, this was explained to me in a confusing manner, focusing on changing terms etc. When asked if I had any questions I was so distraught that I replied "No," booked my next appt. and left. I felt I was given information that was not necessary in a way that was confusing and upsetting. Dr. Saly is a wonderfully nice man but at times his bedside manner is lacking. It seems he is often in a rush or his mind is preoccupied with something else. You should not leave your doctors more confused than when you went in.

I have had Dr. Saly for about 17 yrs now.(wow time flies) He has shown me the uptmost professional care & understanding re: many issues from my miscarriage/ a car accident/ my dying father / to pre-cancer. His kind manner and thorough knowlege has made me incredibly grateful. All Drs are now having to bill OHIP by appt - so get with the times people, that's the way it is now. From the moment you meet Anne (she's great)to seeing Dr. Saly (he's the best)...the reception is warm & friendly. They are busy and they work hard. They do their best!

Dr. Saly is very thorough and approaches me as a whole person. He is meticulous and follows up carefully. He is gentle and friendly. I trust his judgement. He is also honest and recognizes when he needs a specialist's opinion.

the one concern per visit is a problem and frankly a money grab. It frustrates me that I can not discuss 2 problems especially when I have limited hours to visit the doctor. His wife does the books and I have heard from very reliable sources that she is a oil that runs the wheel. It all comes down to money for this physician.

Dr Saly and Anne are absolutely amazing!!! I have a lot of trust issues with dr's because of being mishandled in the past and Dr Saly saved my life! He is so caring and compassionate and has always taken execellent care of me and my children! I have been with him for almost 1/2 my life now and would be lost without him as a family dr! The 1 issue per visit is for many reasons and I complete agree with it! OHIP billing is one so you can thank the government for that one and dr saly earns every cent he makes and deserves so much more besides!!! Not only that he needs the time to properly diagnose and treat what you are talking to him about and not get side-tracked on other issues! A former family dr had missed the fact I was going pre-cancerous and dr saly rushed me in as soon as he got my file and watched me very closely until all danger was passed and I got a clean bill of health I owe this man my life and he has always taken top care of my children, who are my world!

I agree that the one issue rule is a problem - with the new electronic charting - he seems to spend less time looking at you and talking to you and more time typing as you talk which I find very impersonal - Anne is lovely - always friendly and accommodating - I find Dr. Saly rushed always which is unfortunate - I think tho - he is a nice man and a good competent physician.

This Doctor does not have a nice bedside manner, during my last visit which was 8:15 a.m., I was still left waiting 15-20 minutes pass my appt time. I've never been taken on time. When asked to write a prescription, a simple 30 second task, he went into a tirade about how he allows 20 minutes per patient and they are only to come in about one thing, for anything else I have to book another appt., if he answers or deals with every problem a patient asks about it makes his day longer and then his wife gets mad at him because he has to do paper work at home, yadayadayada he went on. He wasted my time and his by ranting. He obviously is in the business for the money, nothing like my last Dr. who retired for health reasons. I dispise going to him but because of the Dr shortage I have no choice, I don't want to go to a walk-in clinic when I need medical assistance. I have never recommended this Dr to anyone and I never will.
