I probably would be have chemo or radiation if not for Dr. Mattar's quick action. I owe him my life.

I had an awful time with this man. I had a terrible infection after having my tubes tied and he sent me away and asked what I expected after having surgery?!I went to my regular Dr and was put on antibiotics right away to clear it up.My Mum fainted in his office and he yelled at her and treated her terribly.I would never let this amn touch me again and his bedside manner stinks. His staff however were lovely and very helpful and friendly.

I NEARLY DIED WHEN HE GOOFED AND COLLAPSED MY LUNG. I WAS IN ICU 3 WEEKS BECAUSE OF HIM. HE JUST BRUSHED IT OFF AND NEVER SAID SORRY OR ANYTHING HE JUST SAID NOW YOUR FAMILY DOC CAN FOLLOW UP WITH YOU THERE IS NO NEED FOR YOU TO COME HERE ANYMORE. WOULD NOT BRING MY DOG TO SEE HIM.

It is funny that someone mentioned his bedside humour below. While delivering my daughter with the assistance of my family doctor, Dr Johnston, he was telling jokes as he was stiching up my wife from her C-Section. They are both great doctors and we are lucky to have them in Simcoe.

What a kind, gentle man this doctor is! This is a man who truly loves his job and it shows. He never seems put out by patients and he listens and responds in such a professional manner. I found it easy to book appointments at his office and his staff was very friendly. Our community is very fortunate to have Dr.Mattar as one of our General Surgeons. Dr. Mattar took care of me after a miscarriage and he was so compassionate, direct and honest...exactly what I needed. He gave me a lot of encouragement and actually made me smile when before I was feeling terrible. A lovely person all around!

wow, can't say enough great about this Doctor::he is the Best. My daughter was having a baby and her family Doctor did not even know the baby was breach. everything was going wrong::he stepped in within two minutes was there and made sure that there were both ok. Baby was born and my daugfhter was ok.God definitely sent this man from haeven for sure. I tell every person I meet how great he is and so so so caring . great Doctor and a wonderful person.

We were fortunate enough to have Dr.Mattar when my son broke his leg..He has a wonderful manner, sense of humor and is very knowlegable..we looked forward to each visit!

Very knowledgeable surgeon who will order any and all possible tests on you until he finds the source of the problem.
