He was more than happy to see female patients.
Took his time over them, but rushed me when I went to see him.
His botox side hussle was weird to listen to as he tried to persuade a patient to give it a try.
I finally walked out on him when he left me in the waiting room to see the pretty
girl who walked in after me who had no prior appointment.
His retirement is a good thing for the health service in Canada.
Incidentally I found a new Dr who is more professional and takes there time even with male patients.

Dr. Al Laity was awesome doctor, he was my family doctor for over 20 years, when he retired we had no idea that he is done. Try to call and call no answer. We wanted our medical history at list. All the best on your retirement.

He did have his license revoked for professional misconduct.

Allegations were made by a psychiatric patient who had done it and recanted before. All claims were unfounded and dropped by the college

Dr Laity gave lots of notice to every patient when he retired. It was not abrupt but planned for a long time. If patients did not get notice likely their address was not udated at his office. He is greatly missed and was one of the most compassionate caring knowledgeable doctors around.

It appears he was accused of professional misconduct, as per the CPSO website - perhaps the reason he retired so abruptly and without notice to his patients.
