We couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon. Smart, confident, great sense of humour, skilled, compassionate, and reassuring. We are very grateful for Dr. Oxner.

Initially we saw Dr.Oxner at the QE2 in 2018. At that time he did an assessment and showed us the MRI. We were told my husband wasn’t a candidate for surgery and although he had a disc rubbing on a nerve pack he wasn’t bad enough yet. Here we are 6 years late we are referred back to Dr.Oxner in his new clinic. The day we arrived he was 45 mins late to the appointment, at which time he came in to the room, opened the MRI looked at it for a few mins stated “Non-operable” and got up and left the room. No discussion, no assessment, didn’t even introduce himself. Dr. Oxner has to be the rudest most unprofessional Doctor I have ever met. Why call people to your office if you’re not going to even assess them.

I wish I’d been sent elsewhere. Dr Oxner missed a fracture in my wrist, spoke only to the resident in my first visit. Did not set up CT scan that he said he would. Impossible to talk to someone in his office. Arrogant and at this point I feel incompetent. An injury from a fall that should have been fixed with surgery waited 3 months to be fixed under his care. Seek care elsewhere

Doesn't follow-through with his promises. Can't get a hold of his office. His admin doesn't return calls. You suffer andc suffer feeling ignored and left.

After having surgery for a spiral fracture of the fibula, pain continued. Once the cast came off, I had trouble walking which continues to this day and has resulted in my knee and now both hips being affected.

I was told my pain is phantom pain, lol. I just wish these doctors could experience some of my phantom pain especially when it hits as I take a step and almost topple to the ground.

This injury and subsequent poor surgery ended my career where I was self employed and in a physically demanding job.

Subsequently it affected my mental health and I struggle with that daily wishing at times I would just die.

This is what great doctors can do for you. At my age and physical shape, I will now be lucky to make it a few more years.

Thanks Dr. Oxner, great job

My first appointment with Dr Oxner left me a little disappointed as he seemed very rushed - when in fact he was just annoyed that my GP hadn't followed his instructions, and caused my surgery to be delayed. However - his staff worked through their vacation to get me a spot that came up from a cancelation. I was 27 and unable to walk, sit upright, or go to the bathroom on my own. After a year of excruciating pain and depression, it took Dr Oxner less than 3 weeks to get me into surgery. He is extremely knowledgeable, and willing to talk you through just about anything. The day of my surgery I was extremely nervous, and he has such a calm and appropriately sarcastic demeanor. He held conversation with me while the anesthesiologist did his job, and distracted me. Next thing I knew, I was in recovery!
At the time I'm writing this - I literally couldn't walk yesterday morning. I had surgery yesterday, and today I've been up and around. I truly thought I'd never be away from the pain of the last year. But Oxner is a godsend.

Attitude from the second I walked in the room. Arrogant, condescending and completely unhelpful. How this guy gets any positive ratings is amazing to me.

I was only 22 when Dr. Oxner operated and my spine and fixed me. I was back to sports, all activities and pain free. Not only is he an excellent surgeon, he has a great sense of humor and personality.
