Biography
Dr. Richard Hurley is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, specialising in hip and knee replacement, at the Dartmouth General Hospital in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Dr. Hurley is a member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia and a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Hurley completed his specialist training in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Toronto, during which time he served as chief resident for the division. Dr. Hurley further sub-specialised in hip and knee replacement and trauma and was fortunate to participate in two clinical fellowships at the Mount Sinai Hospital and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre; both world-renowned academic units at the University of Toronto. He was trained by several eminent surgeons including Professors Allan Gross and Hans Kreder.
