I would give Dr. Luis Oliva in Boca a huge NEGATIVE rating if I could. Worst experience of our lives. Let the buyer beware!

My son went through years of testing positive and then negative for EE. Doctors always wanting to put him under and do endoscopies and take all sorts of medicines. Oliva listens to his patients symptoms and spends a lot of time with the kids. My son is down to a visit once per year. Thank you

At last we found the right doctor. Seen two others and all they wanted to do was procedures and test. He listened and asked all the right questions. The staff was very nice as well. Strongly recomeded.

My daughter has been seeing Dr Oliva over the past 6 months. He has been great and the staff is outstanding. I have referred a few of my friends to Dr Oliva and they have all been very happy. Would not hesitate to return if my daughter would develop any stomach problems again

My wife and I were concerned after reading some of the reviews, but we were very happy after meeting the doctor. The staff was also great. The doctor was very nice, answered all of our questions and did not jump to procedures.
WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR

I would never recommend Dr Oliva or his practice. Initially, his office staff lost multiple referrals, mixed up appointment times and were generally rude. Dr Oliva saw my daughter multiple times only during the afternoon, and during her first morning appointment was quick to decide that because her weight was less in the morning she needed blood work, to which we quickly refused. Clearly someone's weight is always less in the morning. First red flag. Then we tried to call prior to the hurricane for a refill on her Zantac as she was being treated for reflux. We had missed a followup and requested the medication just for the week of the storm to hold her over and then would schedule a proper followup appt. To which they replied that the dr had denied her refill, and that although her new insurance has his practice in their network that they were, according to them, not in network. At that point we had had enough with their unprofessional and poor bedside manner, and overall mistreatment of their patients, and decided to switch doctors. I called to request her records, and apparently unlike every other doctor in the United States, they don't issue their medical records unless I take time out of my day to go there and physically pick it up and PAY THEM FOR IT.
Needless to say I would never step foot in that office again and would advise other parents to take their children elsewhere as well.

My son was diagnosed with inflammation of his esophagus by another doctor who wanted to scope him multiple times. Dr Oliva reviewed all of his records and he discussed several options with me. I am glad that I got a second opinion. My son is doing great and he has not need to be scoped again. Dr Oliva was very nice

The only thing he focused on was calling my son fat. He wanted me to give him a higher than necessary dose of ADD medication so he would not eat lunch and hide food from him. My son has difficulty losing weight due to a couple of physical conditions but he is not unhealthy. I have 8 years of lab results showing he has never had high glucose levels or any issues of concern. He also wanted me to give my son benefiber before dinner so he would eat less. Umm hello how about you ASK what he eats instead of making assumptions? My son eats NO fast food, NO processed food, a good amount of fruits and vegetables and probably eats healthier, better, and with more variety than 90% of children and adults. I got no questions answered and he was borderline argumentative with me regarding my son's health. I had a follow up but decided to call and cancel because the more I think of how rude and narrow minded he is, the angrier I get. He also questioned my son's comments and description of symptoms. and said he was shocked my son's A1C levels were normal. He never asked what my son normally eats because he was too busy making snap judgments. The front office staff is friendly and the office is clean. Unhelpful overall.
