I had an ORIF done by Dr Burnell and his team 2 years ago. I have to say that now I trust my operated ankle more than any other joint in my body. It is so strong even with all the screws inside. The only concern I have is I didn’t really have help regarding getting advice for physio at all on transitioning from wheelchair to crutches to walking, I kind of did it on my own. I climb ladders at my job and I was not confident when my cast was removed and was told I could simply walk again. It was almost like I was expected to break it again. I did ABCs with my ankle every day, researched any and all physio videos online about ORIF recovery, focused on building strength in my leg muscles. I guess I didn’t ask enough questions. He is an amazing surgeon and I’m grateful he was the one who did my surgery.

I had both my knees replaced and it has been life changing. Dr Burnell is easy to talk to and shows compassion. I can’t thank him and his team and the staff at Concordia hospital enough for their skill and care I received during both of my knee replacements and all my follow up visits.

Had hip replacement December 2022, went from chronic pain of five years to absolutely no pain at all… best Doctor I have ever come across!!

Best of the best of the best. 5 stars all the way. I can walk! I didn’t know arthritis could be as painful. I used a Walker for 3 years. First hip dec 2019, then second may 2020. Amazing.. no pain at all. The system, the set up, staff, everything is high class. Very impressive.

Had dr Burnell replace a hip 7 yrs ago and he explained everything calmly and in English...very compationate human ,the hip still functioning 100% ,a work of art ,now I'm in need of other hip looked at and can only hope to get dr Burnell again ....the staff were great ...

Over the years Dr. Colin Burnell has seen me many times. Received one Knee and two Hip revisions. I'm very happy with Dr. Colin Burnell, he is a great Physician, a great Person and very understanding and helpful. He is a Human being, he is treating his patients with respect. I am very grateful to know Dr. Colin Burnell and his Staff.

This surgeon is amazing. He actually listens to you. I had a total left knee replacement and couldn’t be happier. My right knee is next and I’m not apprehensive at all. I totally trust Dr.Burnell.
Shannon, his assistant, is amazing too. She’s polite, kind, and takes your concerns seriously.
