Dr Timothy Jacob repaired my dual hernias. I had a quick recovery with no complications. I judge his surgical skills and knowledge to be excellent. His sutures were so fine that you can barely see where the three small incisions were made. However, I cannot judge his "bedside manner" for lack of a better term to be as good. During my one week post surgery visit he bluntly told me that he had expected complications because "I was a little bit frail." No one has ever said anything like that to me before, and I was too overwhelmed to ask what he meant. I went home and researched pre- frailty & frailty, and still don't know why he said that. As far as I can see I have none of the characteristics that class someone as frail or pre-frail. I have a very bad right knee which I am scheduled to have replaced next spring. I use a walking stick for stability. But my using a walking stick does not make me frail. I get more exercise than many people who do not have bad knees walking 20 - 30 minutes most days without a walking stick. At 77 I am strong, and do not have sarcopenia. His comment has made me second guess everything. If I get a cold, I wonder "Is that because I'm a little frail." His comment was hurtful, and definitely was not helpful. He did not share what he meant, so I made my own assessment. Why mention it after the fact when there had been no complications?

I agree with the last review. What is right for the patient is Dr. Jacob's only concern.

Dr. Jacob did a wonderful job with my extensive oolon resection, and re-connected so I did not need a colostomy bag. I found him to be a very caring, knowledgable and competent surgeon. I would and have recommended Dr. Jacob to friends and family and would not hesitate to place any of my loved ones in his very capable hands.

Dr. Jacob removed my gallbladder and my husband's umbilical hernia. There were no complications; everything went well. My daughter also has scheduled surgery with Dr. Jacob. We found Dr. Jacob to be a knowledgeable, skilled and caring surgeon. We would recommend his services to anyone requiring general surgery.

Incompetent! Inconsiderate! Liar! Butcher. Had mastectomy by him, now need 3 surgeries to reconstruct surgical site. (and no implant) Had to have infection drained 27 times. Gave me Ancef during surgery, resulting in CHF. I am allergic to Ancef and any other Penicillin derivative. I now look as though I were butchered and am undergoing reconstruction to correct surgery. As soon as anyone sees my site they ask if I have a lawyer. Enough said. Thank you for the opportunity to warn others.
