On March 31, 2023 I had a ventral hernia repair by Dr. Repepi and his medical team. It was successful. I was most impressed how Dr. Repepi and the team made me feel genuinely cared about. There words of "we'll take good care of you" were comforting and reassuring. Explanations and responding to my questions were excellent. Talking to me, touching my hand, rubbing my shoulder along with we'll take good care of you meant so much to me. The compassion and empathy from all deserves thanks, thanks, thanks! I give Dr. Repepi rave reviews-a 5 star doctor and a great person.

Dr. Ripepi performed surgery on me in February 2021 to repair 2 hernias. His work was flawless and I returned home after only a few hours at the hospital. I had virtually no pain, just a little discomfort around the tiny incisions. Truly the glue that was used over the incisions was more annoying than anything else. I found Dr. Ripepi to be a good listener and sensitive to my questions and concerns. He is also a very compassionate man who obviously cares for his patients. All doctors should be more like him. Oh, he also has a great sense of humor!

Dr. Ripepi performed inguinal hernia repair surgery on me in January of 2020 using arthroscopic surgical procedures. I have, over the past 4 years had two other inguinal hernia surgical procedures. The first was conventional surgery with a 5 inch incision. The second surgery was performed using the da Vinci surgical robot.

You’ll hear from surgeons and online that the robotic surgery is the least painful. I have to say that is not true. My first surgery was the most painful with lots of swelling. The second surgery with the robot was less painful and i thought that was wonderful even though I experienced a lot of swelling.

The third surgery with Dr. Repepi was to repair the failed first surgery. He had to work with and around the mesh from the first surgery making the procedure more complex. To my surprise the only pain I experienced was in post OP recovery and was most likely from the CO2 they use to extend the abdominal cavity. By the time I arrived home 4 hours after surgery I was amazed at how little pain I was experiencing and never did take anything for pain, not even aspirin. Swelling and other discomforts were virtually non-existent.

Dr. Ripepi is truly a talented surgeon and obviously does things right. His staff is every bit as amazing and responsive as he is. I have to also give a shout out to St. Clair Hospital. The entire staff there is amazingly caring, professional and I was truly impressed with their protocol for controlling the potential spread of infections.

If you need hernia surgery in Western Pennsylvania, this is truly the surgeon you want.

Dr. R. is the best. He loves what he does. He is professional, courteous and caring. This is very hard to find in a doctor today. Some doctors don't even know your name. Dr. Ripepi's
staff reflects his personality. If you need surgery, put your confidence in him.

Dr. Ripepi and his staff are fabulous. He is an incredible and gifted surgeon. Wonderful bedside manner and his staff is exemplary. This is my second surgery and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome and the care I have received. He is definitely a best bet!

Dr Ripepi was the very thorough when I was admitted for stomach pain. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and explained every test and/or procedure. His personality is great. He truly cares about his patients . I would recommend him to anyone needing surgery or having any type of problem.
