Breast Cancer diagnosis knocked me off my path in 2007. As I meditate upon the experience of such a life change, Dr. SUNNENBERG'S smiling and concerned face clouds my memory. I was a graduate nurse when I first met THE DOCTOR. I considered him a great team member during the times of the medical industry change with Medicare and its fallout during the 90's. I learned much from him while taking care of his patients and throughout my nursing career until the diagnoses of cancer. I wanted no other doctor but him and he took very good care of me. I know he is anointed from the almighty FATHER in heaven because his fruits are pure and 'taste' as they should. He is truly a representative of his profession.

In 1996 my husband was diagnosed with prostrate cancer . With a p.s.a. count over 300. Which is usually death. Dr. Sunnenburg too a special interest in him because he was so young age 42. He was not on our blue Cross list of physicians. But Dr. Sunnenburg offered to treat him for free because it was such an unusual case.. My husband really liked him and Dr. Sunnenburg did his best for him. Phillip lived 1 year, 5 months and 21 days after that. I really believe it's because the confidence that Dr. Sunnenburg gave him..

Dr. Thomas Sunnenberg is the finest physician I have ever known. His knowledge and commitment to every aspect of treatment of my rare NHL blood disease was truly awe inspiring. I had many side issues that developed through treatment and he had the latest information and research available to guide us to the correct path and other physician if necessary. I knew I had been blessed to walk through this valley with a very trusted ally,as well as a man of kindness, compassion, and conviction. God speed my friend.

Dr. Sunnenberg was one of the best doctors I have been to in almost 60 years. I have been to many others but none compare to the experience I had with this fantastic, devoted, professional, caring, giving man!!! Through the Lord's help this doctor helped SAVE my life. It was back in 1994 when at Sacred Heart Hospital I was at death's door! I praise the Lord for Dr. Sunnenberg.

This is one sharp cookie! This man is well versed in the most recent research & treatments. He treats the whole person and not just the cancer. He always takes time to listen, explain and acknowlege the patient and the family as well. He was my mother's oncologist and was a true blessing to not only her, but our entire family. We always felt "in the loop" with her treatments and he helped us understand why each and every step was needed. You can't get a better oncologist in the Southeast!

I am a male patient who was referred to Dr. Sunnenberg by another Oncologist (who specialized in female oncology). The later oncologist was a personal friend and felt free to recommend me to Dr. Sunnenberg with this recommendation, "He's the sharpest tool in the shed." After a couple of years of treatment I must agree...HE IS GOOD! He treats the whole patient and before he ever started my cancer treatments, he began to correct my general health. This has paid off because now I am more receptive to the cancer treatments.
