I'm new to the area. I had a new patient appointment scheduled 2 months out. Been waiting patiently and looking forward to meeting her. Two days before my appointment I was called and told she is not taking new patients and my appointment was cancelled. Are you kidding me? After waiting all this time and arranging for time off work I now have to start from scratch. I feel like doctors today don't have any concern for how their whims affect people's lives in a big way. I have scripts that I needed refilled and now I'm screwed. No one will refill them without a new patient appointment. I will run out of meds that I need to function. I guess I should consider myself blessed in a way. I now know that she really doesn't care too much about people. Not if she could do this without even a phone call from her to see what the ramifications are. That's just very cold hearted and not the kind of doctor I want anyway.

Great Doctor. I've been her patient since 1986. Wouldn't see anyone else.

I feel like Dr. Ellis and her staff treat you as a person not as a number.

Dr. Ellis is a wonderful Dr. She is a good diagnostician, cares about her patients, goes beyond to insure the health of the patient. In addition she knows us, the patient. She listens to us, but is also firm in her instructions. While she does not go to the hospital, she makes sure the hospital Dr. Attending her patient has all the information, both medical and personal to give assurance to the patient. To sum it up, this is a great Dr.

She takes the time to answer your questions during office visits. That is a big plus for me. I hate doctors who appear to be backing their way out the door while you are trying to ask them a question. My only complaint is that she doesn't do hospital visits. She contracts with other doctors to see you when you are in the hospital. To have to deal with a completely unfamiliar doctor as your primary physician at a time like that is pretty disappointing since you are already at a physical and emotional low.
