Biography

Dr. David R. Thomsen was born and raised in Anaheim, California. From a young age, his dedication to education and leadership became evident in his school, church, and community service. After graduating from High School, he became fluent in Spanish and worked one-on-one with inner-city Hispanics in the Greater New York City area for two years while serving as a church missionary. He later attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, while simultaneously completing a vigorous pre-medical science curriculum. He then attended the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, where he received his Doctorate degree at this country’s preeminent Chiropractic teaching facility. While at Palmer College, Dr. Thomsen completed a successful externship at the renowned Palmer Clinic in Davenport, Iowa. There, he was engaged in studying various techniques and researching methods to accelerate the healing process. Additionally, he served as Managing Editor for “The Palmer Beacon”, the student newspaper of Palmer College of Chiropractic. Dr. Thomsen, along with his wife and children, moved to Winter Haven, Florida in 1997 and began working as a chiropractic extern. In 1998, he purchased Hendricks Chiropractic Office, P.A. and later renamed his practice Prime Care Chiropractic Centers, P.A. After 20 years in practice, Prime Care Chiropractic Centers has become a well-known and trusted location for Chiropractic care in Central Florida. Dr. Thomsen has created the ActiveFlex Protocol for the non-surgical treatment of spinal disorders. The ActiveFlex Protocol combines therapeutic exercisies, ultrasound therapy, computerized spinal decompression, and interferential electrical stimulation to treat many spinal conditions. Dr. Thomsen’s commitment to community involvement, as evidenced by his active membership in local service and church organizations, is mirrored by his commitment to the Chiropractic profession
