After a shoulder injury at work, I was referred to Dr. Bailie from workman's comp and was a bit skeptical at first. Dr. Bailie performed the shoulder surgery in 2013 for a torn labrum and while he was in there identified a bicep tendon tear as well. Fixed both and had a great experience. Now I am going back to see him for the other shoulder even though he is out of network. He is truly a great doctor and was very upfront about all aspects of the operation and after care. After the procedure he gave us over a dozen pictures of inside my shoulder of the tears and his repairs. Transparency is great whenever dealing with a doctor. I really appreciated everything he did.
Thanks,

Having been hard on my body when I was a young-dumb multi-sport athlete, I’ve undergone some surgeries in my life; three knee surgeries alone. Having had a major right knee surgery in 2003 from a trampoline accident with my son, I had another “unnamed” doctor from the valley perform surgery on it based off a referral. Big mistake . . . keep reading. In November 2015 I had a bad car accident while at work, THANK YOU case manager (workman’s comp) for locating and referring Dr. Bailie to me for another right knee surgery. At first I was unsure having to deal with the doctor I was dealt, however after 2 visits, I was very comfortable with Dr. Bailie. One thing always puzzled me, Dr. Bailie would chuckle to himself at the sight of my right knee scar (2003 trampoline accident) everytime he seen me, never any comments. Well pre-operation he chuckled again – shook his head and said, “I have to tell you something, “that other doctor really screwed up your knee and that scar was really unnecessary. No worries, I’m going to fix you up like new.” Puzzled solved! Dr. Bailie was a lucky find. . .

I must say, Dr. Bailie and his staff, both at his office and the surgical center were very professional, helpful (offering their personal cell phone numbers for afterhours assistance) and made this process enjoyable and easy! I strong recommend anyone needing a Knee, Hip or Shoulder surgery to go see Dr. Bailie.

Thanks Dr. Bailie.

As a physician myself, I chose Dr Bailie to operate on my sons sports injuries twice. My decision was based on Dr Bailie's reputation within the medical community and know exceptional skills as an elite orthopedic surgeon. My son has been happy with results from surgery and is asymptomatic. I , as his mother, cannot be more pleased.

Dr Bailie repaired the left rotator cuff in 2010 and the right rotator cuff in 2012. While repairing the right rotator cuff he noticed the bicep tendon had partial tears and re-anchor the torn tendon back to the bone and did a subacromial decompression. I am extremely grateful l that he did a thorough job of reviewing all aspects of the shoulder. He called the next day after each surgery to ensure all is well and the pain level was tolerable. He also supplied me 2 dozen excellent photos of the before and after repairs doing the surgery. Needless to say I would not have return to the same surgeon for the identical operation on the other shoulder unless I was extremely satisfied with the first surgery. One final note is to always follow post-op instructions cause not matter how good the surgery, the final outcome is your hands of going through the rehabilitation process and being patient to heal properly. Kudos to Accelerated Rehabilitation Centers which is managed by an athletic trainer who spent over 25 years with MBL & NHL leagues.

As an athlete who strives to compete at the highest level of performance it was necessary to seek out the best, Dr. David Bailie is the man for the job. I had an extreme tear of my labrum and rotator cuff, and now compete at a higher level than I did before my injury. Thanks Doc. #3030 TDR

I had to have a total shoulder replacement due to arthritis and extreme wear, which were causing great pain. Two surgeons told me that the shoulder was a difficult joint to replace and afterwards I would be very limited with motion and lifting capabilities. I finally discovered Dr. Bailie with a Google search and made an appointment. I told Dr. Dr. Bailie about my previous conversations with other surgeons and he explained to me that I would be able to do about anything after the replacement except high impact activities. He stated that most surgeons do minimal shoulder replacements and that's why their results are not that great. Dr. Bailie said that his office does about 100 a year. It has been three month since he replaced my shoulder and I am pain free and have about 90% of the motion back. He said as time goes on it will continue to improve. The complete experience With Dr. Bailie and his staff was fantastic. The office personnel, the scheduler, the surgical center, the follow up and the physical therapist are of the highest caliber. I highly recommend Dr. Bailie for anyone with any type of shoulder issues.

I've had both shoulders surgically repaired (rotator cuff and bicep tendon repair) by Dr. Bailie in the past 3 years with excellent results. I'm now pain free and back to all activities a year after the most recent. When looking for a shoulder surgeon, I asked several other MD's who they would choose. All claimed Dr. Bailie was the best, and I've got to agree! The offices in Tempe and Phoenix are large, but are run like a well oiled machine. I've never felt rushed at an appointment, and he's always willing to answer questions. He also makes sure going in what he expects in return as far as therapy goes, since that plays a huge part in recovery. Even my physical therapists have commented that they've seen the best results in Dr. Bailie's patients. He exudes confidence, which is reassuring, but he's also very personable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone - he's a very skilled surgeon, and I'm very happy to have found him!
