A total waste of your time and health care system's money! I was shocked at his rudeness and ignorance.  I don't have typical reactions to allergies, I get sore throats which can turn into infections.  Many years ago, my family Dr suspected I'm allergic to ragweed because I'd get a sore throat every August which gets more sever over the years and caused infections including an eye infection. His suspicion was proved by an allergist with an allergy test, turns out I'm very allergic to ragweed and had to do allergy shots.   When I saw Dr Doctor regarding getting similar reactions of being sick most of the winter, he said that it's winter colds and allergies don't cause a throat infection or getting sick. I explained the ragweed history and how I went on antibiotics every August until the 3rd year when I was diagnosed with ragweed allergy and his arrogant reply was "I don't know the credentials of who you saw back in  Montreal". When I asked if I might have food allergies and it's causing this, he refused to test for food and added that it's all in my head and I'm imagining this because I'm convincing myself of having allergies!! A year later I saw another allergist who tested me for many things including latex and food allergies (skin test ) and turns out I'm allergic to latex and tomatoes, kiwi, banana and apples and these are part of my daily diet. I cut them out this winter and I got sick only once and had normal energy instead of that constant sickly state. If you don't have typical allergy reactions, Dr Doctor will tell you it's in your head!

Did not believe me when I said I was allergic to dust, nor did he believe me when the allergy test proved it. Apparently my reaction to the allergy test was not severe enough to justify treatment. Just another gem from the Canadian health care system.

My 8 month old son had an allergic reaction of unknown origin while overseas.. my family doctor recommended and got us an appointment with Dr Doctor.. his staff had booked us in very quickly ( within 2 weeks). we arrived at the office 15 minutes early and it was locked with no one in the office.. we waited and where greeted by Dr Doctor himself and brought back to the exam room. he was quick with our history and asked a lot of questions to get family history.
overall he was great with my son.. and his bedside manner was excellent..

I waited a year for my appointment with Dr. Doctor. I got in right away and the appointment went fast. He isn't the friendliest man, but asked a bunch of questions but wasn't a great listener and kind of rushed. My results came back negative for any allergy and the very next day I had a massive allergic reaction. I called the office and left a message and cried while trying to explain. The receptionist called me back and offered me a cancellation appointment 2 days from the phone call. I asked her a couple questions of what I could expect or if I should go to my family doctor and she was so rude! She dismissed me and talked down to me. I was so unimpressed. She knew by my message I was suffering and was having extreme symptoms and she couldn't care less. I don't even want to go back. There is another allergist in Calgary who is apparently amazing, so I'll go there.

Perhaps Dr Doctor is better informed by now. But when I saw him he was unaware that onions can cause severe rash and hives that require prednisone to knock it out of my body. After waiting to see him for one year he did a skin test for some foods. but not for onions. Because he said no one is allergic to onions. I reacted mildly to a few but he would not tell me which ones they were because they were mild. It was a complete waste of time to see him.

I saw Dr. Doctor for just over 4 years. He and his staff were always professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. My condition and treatment were explained clearly to me. My appointments always started on time and were easily made for times that were convenient to me. I highly recommend Dr. Doctor.

I was referred to Dr. Doctor after 8 months of angeo edeema attacks & several hospitalizations. This doctor determined that I had a rare blood condition and is the only one who has ever returned my urgent calls. He was awesome. After I had to discontinue the medication he prescribed, the attacks began immediately. He insisted that I go to the Foothills & from there he had me treated for a rare blood condition. After 8 frustrating months he acted immediately & got me the right treatment. He was the only doctor to pick up on my rare condition. His immediate action saved me.

My son was tested by Dr. Doctor 2 years ago when he was 10 months old. He has a peanut allergy. At the appointment, Dr. Doctor told us we were to come back for a follow-up to retest the peanut allergy and test for other nuts when our son was 3 years old. He specifically told us to call the office 1 month prior to our son's 3rd birthday and to let the receptionist know that we were following up for retesting as per the Dr's request and that we would not have to wait for an appointment. My son turns 3 next month and I just got off the phone with the receptionist who informed me that we have to go back to our family doctor for a referral and then will be put back on the office cancellation list to wait for our appointment. I remember very well what Dr. Doctor told us, and if we were to have to waste time to get a referral and be wait listed again, I would have set the calendar reminder for 1 year earlier to make it in time for my son's 3rd birthday. I realize that Dr. Doctor has a busy schedule, but my family does too and I appreciate accurate information and follow-up as promised.

I just came home from my appointment (I live kind of far away from Calgary) and it was great. I was so worried going in there because of all the negative comments, but he's really nice. I was taken in right away (the receptionist was very nice by the way) and the whole office had a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The Doctor came in first to ask some background information. Then the nurse came in and the test was done quickly and was painless. Then the Doctor came back in and explained the results. He explained everything in detail. Fortunately, I probably don't have any allergies and can get rid of my epi-pen after a year. The Doctor is a very knowledgeable, comfortable, and friendly man and I would definitely recommend him to anyone. I walked out of that place sighing with relief.
