I, too, am not satisfied with Dr. Cantu's staff. They are rude and uncaring. Making appointments and being told when I arrive, that I didn't have an appointment. Getting in touch with Dr. Cantu is like breaking into Fort Knox. Not going to happen. You begin to question if she really cares about her patients.

Less than appropriate attitude staff. When you are sick the last thing you want to hear is "I can help you the doctor is out of town". I would suggest less lip better medical alternatives. Dr. Cantu is very knowledgable and a good doctor.

I take my mother to all of her appointments and if Dr.Cantu believes she needs to see a specialist because of what ever the situation is than she refers the best. My mother took ill 3 yrs. back in Kerrville on a Friday & was admitted. By Tuesday she couldn't walk. We begged them the entire weekend to please send her to Fredricksburge where her Dr. was and finally on that Tuesday they listened. If it would have been just a few hours more she would have died. That evening she got a specialist to see her and found out my mother had Gillian Barrea. She was started on a 5 day treatment & made it through the night. Because she was not treated immediately for this she was paralyzed from the neck down. She lived in the hospital 3 months until she came home with us & than we began her care at home. Thanks to Dr.Cantu that can realize when a specialist is needed my mother is with us. She's now getting around on her own, bathing, transferring herself, dressing, hair, food & much more she's doing.

I have seen P. Cantu for a few years;I never found her to be warm or friendly. She doesn't inspire unbosoming your problems to her,and made me feel she'd like to get on to the next appt.I always felt like my having a medical problem was a bit in her way. After being referred to a specialist who made Cantu look like Mother Theresa, I decided that the specialist's findings simply didn't tally up,the medications unhelpful, and future ideas dismal,so I decided to stop seeing the specialist.Cantu found out about this over the phone and, apparently, contacted the specialist who told Cantu to tell me that I absolutely had to see a specialist, suggesting an alternative one. In keeping with Cantu's warmth, I never spoke to her personally;all messages to me were conveyed by someone else (coldly and without regard for my opinions or feelings).I was told that I had to see a specialist, otherwise Cantu would not see me as a patient.I refused to pursue that deadend,so Cantu fired me as a patient.Arrogant
