Horrible bedside manor. Speaks to you as if you are stupid. Very rude, would never see him again even if I was dying.

Got to be the most unprofessional doctor I've ever met. This doctor told me my abdominal pain is something my family doctor and the specialist need to deal with and sent me home untreated while I was still in severe pain.

I have had the unfortunate pleasure of having to see him two times. He comes across as a rude and uncompassionate doctor. I would recommend avoiding him unless you've got no other choice. He needs to take a course on how to develop his interpersonal skills; he's a terrible people person. I hope he leaves the clinic where I visited him.

This doctor Vail is devoid of human compassion. He has one foot out the door talking to you and seems like you are a nuisance for asking questions.

Was very sweet to my daughter. She came into the hospital crying but left smiling.

Dr vail was quick and no nonsense with me. He was thorough, got my MRI results quickly and asked if I had further questions. When he couldn't answer my other questions he offered to send me to someone who will. His student resident was efficient as well. I was very happy with the treatment I received at hotel dieu emergency.

Due to an accident, I was taken to Hotel-Dieu by ambualnce on June 11th. The ER doctor wasI Dr. Gordon Rae Vail. I qualify my experience as very bad and extremely painful. With a 3 '' cut on my head, something had to be done to close it. This doctor decided to staple it. I respected his decision. The problem is that he injected a solution to freeze the area and stapled my head right away, without waiting. I do not remember hurting as much in my whole life. My spouse and two step sons were watching, amazed at what was going on. I regret not getting up and object to such treatment. Unfortunately, there was a young student doctor with Dr.Vail, this doctor was asked to finish up the job. What is sad is that since this student is being trained by a doctor who has no compassion, she will probably do the same to others. I do not understand that the medical profession is allowing this doctor to do so much damage. By reading the comments , I realize that I am not the only one who was butchered. Francine Létourneau

Was very compassionate to us when our child was diagnosed with cancer. We will always be grateful to him for everything he did for us.

Dr. Vail had me on the highest dose of an antidepressant and refused me a consultation with a psychiatrist, I ended up hallucinating and in Hotel Dieu where a psychiatrist diagnosed me as Bipolar with severe mania. Dr. Vail then refused to see me as a patient anymore. I never hallucinated before the antidepressants and now I'm on heavy anti-psychotics to keep from hallucinating. If you have any mental health issues DO NOT SEE DR.VAIL!
