Here is the Man that saved my Life in the year 2000. Brain Op. I work at the same Hospital as dr. Buwembo does. I cannot thank this Man enuff. I am also seeing him currently regarding an fairly extensive Back Operation that I am on the OR List for. I can't say enuff about him.

I’ve had three operations with Dr. Buwembo and he destroyed my life. I am in worse pain now than I was before the operations. Dr. Buwembo never came to see me when I was in the hospital and for a follow up, well you can just forget about it. It’s not happening. This man doesn’t care about his patients one bit.

Unfortunately, not a good experience despite what I otherwise would have thought.

Dr Buwembo saved my life, with emergency brain surgery for a tumour. I was in a very bad way when I arrived at the hospital and so was seen exceptionally quickly, which I am eternally grateful for - I was told without the surgery I had days left.
I will forever be grateful to him, and his team.
There literally are no words to describe how thankful I am of him, his skill and knowledge.

Two failed surgeries.
Once the surgery is over, there is no follow up. So BEWARE.

16 years ago Dr. Buwenbo saved my life. I remember our 1st appointment at his office, I don't remember the staff but that's a good thing! We tend to remember bad encounters before good ones. The 1st thing I noticed were his hands, how is he going to operate on my brain with those giant hands that could wrap around my head?! Lol And then having to go through all of the questions some very uncomfortable considering my parents were with me. His energy alone was comforting and calming. He took the time to listen and explain everything he was going to do. This wonderful man spent 10 hours in my brain, when he grabbed a food break he ran into my mother who I'm sure was very surprised to see my neurosurgeon not with me. The man has to eat at some point! I'm glad he got his needed energy to keep going! Instead of avoiding my mother he assured her everything was fine and boy was it ever! Total success 🙌 every year that passes I am thankful to him.
**please remember if he was ever late for an appt or took a while to call back, chances are he was spending 10+/- hours fixing someone's brain or other neurological problems. Everyone's medical conditions are important, unfortunately/fortunately the medical system goes by priority as does Dr. Buwembo. Har this system not been obeyed I wouldbt be here today. Be patient and kind because you don't know who's life he is saving while your complaining about a phone call. He wouldn't be one of the top rated surgeons if he wasn't top-notch!! Heck of a man and doctor! 💜 I owe my life to him!

Dr, Buwembo is very patient, kind, and explains what needs to be done after doing
MRI's of my neck and back. sent me a copy of the letter that there can be complications in a few cases with bleeding, etc. He has been doing these surgeries for many years, if he happens to be a little late, remember he will give you the same amount of time for your own issues. I came for back surgery, but need to have my neck stabilized first. I have found the assistant to be very helpful, ordered me a wheelchair to get me back to main door, extremely patient in my pain and weakness. this was considered urgent surgery, but got changed to priority surgery - but it's these high covid cases - not the Drs fault. we dont want to push these people who are humans when they've gone flat out for 20
mos. now. sure I need pain medication, sleep medication - but I doubt it would help during these delayed times. the cancer and transplant patients need priority to save their life. I wont die - but crippled up! he is a Dr. worth waiting for, rather than being shipped to some other province for delicate surgeries like he does.
