I really liked and trusted him at first but then he appeared to not listen to my concerns and I ended up seeing numerous other specialists and having a ton of unnecessary tests b/c he missed basic results on tests. I truly beleive my MM progressed for months d/t his negligence. Nice person but falsely reassuring. He's not the same doctor who initially treated me. Other oncologists and specialists expressed concern over and over and he kept dismissing that it was the MM. I lost trust in him and it was like going through a bad divorce as I honestly trusted this doctor with my life. Very disappointed.

I agree with the person who reviewed on 5/10/11 . He seemed nice but blew off concerns (although in a nice upbeat way). Also, as a new patient, I had took a lot of time getting all of my medical records and scans sent to him far in advance. It was evident that he did not look them over before he came in the room with me. After looking at my original reports, He told me that I don't have cancer (but I have had cancer for over 4 years now). Then he told me that I do have cancer but not the type I told him I have (which I do). So although I liked him as a person, that is not why I went to see him. That was a big red flag for me and indicated that he won't be taking my illness all that seriously in the future so it's time for me to move on. Unfortunately, I feel My time was wasted there. I really wanted to the right doctor-patient match with Dr. Agha.

Dr. Agha is by far the very best hematology oncology physician ever! He is very compassionate, respectful and the most admirable person we have met through MM. He went above and beyond to help us in all situations and would do anything he could for my husband. This is one phenomenal man!!!!

Dr. Agha is fantastic! I would highly recommend him. His bedside manner is exceptional and he always takes the time to explain even the simplest concepts to me to make sure I am comfortable. His staff is equally top notch and is always prompt and helpful when I call with questions regarding my treatment. I am a young cancer patient and was extremely nervous when beginning my treatment and Dr. Agha instantly put me at ease. He made sure I understood every part of my condition and what the effects of my treatment would be.

I've had a few office visits with Dr Agha to treat/manage a common leukemia. He seems nice enough, means well, and would make a good impression on most people. I do however have two problems with him. First, if I let him, he would be in and out of the door in five to ten minutes. I feel like I am pulling teeth to get him to stay and answer some questions! Second, he seems to avoid technical questions from me, and replies with assurances but not directly answering the question. Present at the visits, my wife has noticed these two problems and formed the same opinion. I am considering switching to another UPMC Hem/Onc doc, but unfortunately there are few available.

Dr Agha is a wonderful, caring, and giving doctor. As an ocologist you must be able to reassure your patients and at the same time be respectfully straight forward. We feel very confident that my husband is the receiving quality care with Dr Agha.

Dr. Agha is absolutely wonderful! I was diagnosed with a rare type of MPD/Leukemia. He has been treating me for four months now, and has high hopes. Seeing the twinkle in Dr. Aghas eyes immediately put me at ease... He is confident in the treatment that he is providing me, and has worked hand in hand with the leading expert with my particular disease (5q-) to make sure that I am given the top treatment. He CARES about his patients and is always there! A+ doctor!
