Paul Sugar has been our family physician in some manor, since the 90's. Always an attentive, knowledgable doctor, over the years he has evolved into someone I feel a part of my family. His knowledge of the medical system and how to navigate it best to suite his patients is remarkable. His family practice is missed but his new mission regarding end of life plan/management is well needed. Thank you Paul.

Dr sugar treated my father and our whole family with the utmost care and compassion. Words can’t express his complete devotion to his profession and humanity. He is where he is meant to be. Polar opposite to Dr. Lakha thank god !! On behalf of my father ... thank you ❤️

Paul’s personal care for my mother was incredible. He dropped everything whenever she needed something, was concerned for her health and her mental wellness, and for the wellness of the family- even though he was only my mothers doctor.

An amazing person and physician

Dr. Paul Sugar’s care for my Mom was extraordinary! A specialist in dealing with palliative patients he is extremely knowledgeable and wonderfully caring, making himself available for a house call or on the telephone 24/7. A doctor like him is a rare find today!

Paul Sugar is an amazing doctor who puts his patients first. He looked after my mother after she was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and she could not have had better care. He is kind compassionate, caring, and very knowledgeable.

Very pleased how Dr. Sugar involved the whole family in my brother's 'dying with dignity' process. I believe he called it 'gentle honesty'. A Palliative Care nurse told me today that he answers the phone 24/7...even at three in the morning, always with a cheery voice...something so light and refreshing is appreciated at such a serious time.

Dr. Sugar called me at 10 PM last night to check up on the stroke victim I am caring for. He did this on his own, following up on a consultation the previous week. This is typical of his concern and his work schedule. You just don't encounter this kind of conscientiousness much any more.

Right from the get-go my husband and I disliked this doctor. We found him to be arrogant and eager to force his "wonderful me" persona in our faces. My husband did not appreciate his "You're dying. Live with it" attitude so we moved on. My husband never entertained the idea of dying and was eager to carry on living. As a result, when he did pass, he was happy, joking and not even taking aspirin. Among his last few words were, "I can't wait to get to Maui again in a few weeks." Of course, the good doctor would call this "denial" but we, his family were very relieved he didn't have to get the "death talk" every time he saw him and didn't consider dying in his immediate future. I'm glad PS performs a good job for others and wish him well.
