Dr Stuart Smith has been my orthopedic surgeon for many years. He is an excellent surgeon and he is also kind and compassionate. He takes his time and you don't feel rushed. He will do whatever is necessary to see you are able to live your best life without pain. I'm thankful to have such a kind, compassionate and competent surgeon taking care of me.

Total professional. Had both hips replaced by DR. Smith. No regrets. He was great and has a great staff as well. Returned to work within a month running a land surveying company.
He is definitely 10+!

Dr. Smith replaced my left hip on May 2. On the follow up visit with him on 5/24, I walked without an aid. My rehab is advancing quicker than I thought.
My left knee was replaced by Dr. Smith in 2006 and this is the reason I chose him for hip replacement.

Dr. Smith is a wonderful doctor and an excellent surgeon. I had a hip replacement done a little over 3 weeks ago. The healing process has been substantially better than I had anticipated and dared hope for. Dr. Smith and his staff made sure I was well educated as to what to expect before, during and after the surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Smith and his staff.

Dr. Smith has been my Ortho Dr for about 2 years for severe osteoarthritis in almost every joint in my body! I had been seeing another Orthopedist who seemed disinterested in my health problems - even my Primary Care Physician told me to drop that Dr. and referred me to Dr. Smith. Long story short...had my first total hip replacement 30 days ago by Dr. Smith -- no problems/no real pain/walking in less than 12 hours and now no need for mobility aids and no restrictions!! Would not see anyone else!

I had Anterior Total Hip Replacement one year ago with Dr. Smith. He is so professional and competent. I could not be happier with the pre-opt meeting, the surgery, and the recovery. I am much more active than I thought I could be. I will always go to and refer Dr. Smith to all who need his expertise and skill.

As long is still doing surgery, he will be the only surgeon to any orthopedic work on me. I have had great success with both knee replacements. only regret is that I did not have them replaced sooner

Dr. Smith did my hip replacement and he is wonderful. I will never use another Orthopedic Surgeon as long as he is in practice. Thank you Dr. Smith and Staff for a great surgery and recovery.

He did my first knee replacement. It was a disaster. When it was an obvious failure only 5 months later, he just scratched his head and said, " I could go back in there and add a piece of plastic to see if that tightens it up." Needless to say, I went to someone else for the revision surgery that was necessary, only 8 months after the original.

Dr. Smith was recommended to me by a former member of his team. He is extremely knowledgeable, personable, and honest about the pros and cons of surgery. He is also a fine surgeon. I had a total hip replacement, posterior entry, and it went exceedingly well with no complications. I was walking immediately post op, and within three weeks walking without a cane. For me there was very little post op pain, much less so than pre op. At the four week checkup Dr. Smith evaluated my progress and cleared me for most activities. In my opinion i could not have made a better choice in surgeons, or had better care. I highly recommend Dr. Smith for any joint replacement needs. Hopefully I will not need anymore, but if i do, Dr. Smith will be my first choice.
