Dr. Spafford is great but he has the rudest receptionist in all of Saskatoon.

Receptionist staff - when called the clinic the lady was very rude and a displeasure to ask my question to.

Dr Spafford is great. He greets you when he walks in, does what he needs to do, tells you as it happens. Straight to the point, which I prefer, not rude. He knows his stuff and is confident in his knowledge and ability. You're in and out, yet I didn't feel rushed. He answered my questions directly no beating around the bush. Works for me!

His receptionist is rude, even sounds condescending when she answers the phone. I understand that you're busy however that doesn't give you the right to talk to me like I'm wasting your time. It's also very hard to get through to make an appointment as usually recording says to call back then hangs up, recording could be more professional. I tried calling for 3 weeks to make an appointment and was unable to get through. Need a better system for calling in. Had to cancel an appointment ONCE due to family circumstances. I called to cancel 2 weeks before the appointment and she very rudely asked for the reason? Really I don't think you need to know the details. I gave you lots of notice. At least I called in!

Referred to Dr Spafford due to a lump on my tonsil, initial appointment went well, was short and straight to the point. Just had my tonsillectomy, he was very friendly and helpful with after surgery questions.

My wife was referred to Dr. Spafford for her thyroid by our family doctor. She was very worried about this surgery. He called and explained everything to her about the biopsy results to everything about the surgery. When he was done she was extremely happy with how he talked to her and explained everything to her about pre to post surgery. A few weeks later he performed the surgery and it went exactly as he said it would. My wife has nothing but glowing comments for him and his wonderful staff

I was referred by my family Doctor and I feel that I was lucky to have Dr Spafford as my surgeon. He met with me very quickly after being referred. He made time for me in between his other appointments. I phoned his office once and was able to talk to him right away. He was always very busy and was to the point which was great. Obviously very knowledgeable. With everything that we hear about the current state of our health system I was very pleased with how my experience was.

Dr. Spafford is great! I have no complaints about him. His support staff is usually quite rude and short every time I call, not friendly at all.

Dr. Spafford himself is friendly and definitely knows what he is talking about. He is short and to the point but it works for him! His receptionist however, is one of the most rude people I have ever talked to. Very disappointing when you are calling to inquire or are needing help.

My daughter was diagnosed with papillary carcinoma ( thyroid cancer). I e-mailed Dr Spafford to ask for a referral for a second opinion. He had been our ENT prior to us moving to Alberta. I was stunned to have a response back the next day being a a weekend. He said he could see her Monday. Being 12 hrs away we needed time to get there so he saw her Tuesday. He was surprised that she hadn’t even had an ultra sound but she had not gotten a call from our cancer department. After sending her for further tests that day, we received a call from his office that same day saying she was booked for surgery that coming Friday. I was so amazed & so great full. She has many tumours and cancer in her lymph nodes as well and he was very precise and took all of the time necessary to complete her surgery going into the evening. He spent time with us making sure we were well informed. Also, spent time with my husband and I while our daughter was being prepped for surgery. He answered all our questions. Even tho our daughter was days away from 21 yrs old he still kept us very well informed. He came and talked to us after the surgery as well. Never rushed us and once again answered our questions. He came into check on her on the weekend and continued his follow up. He referred her to a dr at the cancer clinic for additional treatment in Saskatoon. We are beyond grateful. He had seen her at 6 mths old and had her ears checked and clipped her tongue tie. He then remove Ted get tonsils at 10 years old with next to no waiting time when it was a 2 year waiting time in our city in Ab. He also removed 2 of our sons tonsils. He truly has and had been a God send. It has now been 5 years and my daughter has had a clean bill of cancer and is just about to get her annual tests once again. Thank you for saving my daughter Dr Spafford. Forever grateful.
