I have been a patient of Dr. Clarke for many years and would highly rate her as an ophthalmologist. She is extremely knowledgeable. As a specialist who is dealing with complex ophthalmic problems I do not expect her to spend time on chit chat. She is to the point and does not hesitate to forward one on to another sub-specialty that lies elsewhere. I have known her to diagnose problems which one would think totally unrelated to eyes! If you are only looking for someone to prescribe glasses then I suggest you see on optometrist. However if you are truly needing specialized eye care then Dr. Clarke is the best bar none.

She is the best diagnostition and ophthomologist I know.When I need her Ihave complete trust in her wide range of abilities and bedside manner does not diagnose or make me better.Maybe she does not like to waste any of the long hours she spends helping patients on idle chit chat ....I rather she fixes me up and gets me out and performs an outstanding job.Thank you Dr.Clarke,keepup the good work.

Dr M Clarke is one of the best Doctors I have ever seen, She saved my eye, from a nail acident, Was in the hospital every morn and night, The whole office Staff is the best, I all ways know what is going on or being done with my eyes,

Have been going to Dr Clarke for some 18 years. She certainly does not have a bedside manner but is very knowledable. However, the last time I was in her office the staff working on the counter was so very very rude and basically called me a liar - WILL NEVER GO BACK TO DR CLARKE AGAIN!!!!!

Dr. Clarke has been my eye specialist for over 2o years. True, she may not be the warmest of doctors, but she is very knowledgeable, answers my questions and is very thorough. Yes, it takes some time to get in to see her, but she is a SPECIALIST, hence the longer waits. I travel from New West to Langley to see her, and would reccommend her with the caviat that she is there to examine, diagnose and treat issues, not become your new best friend.

Dr. Clarke is a specialist and may not have the warmest of personalities, but she was recommended to me by my GP as being knowledgable and professional. I had a potentially sight threatening condition and she answered all of my questions precisely, and in depth. Her prescription was clear and she explained the regimen to me and what I could and should not do. I really believe she knows her specialty and if you go in prepared to ask well thought out questions she will answer in the same vein. I was glad that my GP referred me to her and I thanked my GP for the referral. Would have no hesitation recommending her with one proviso, that if you want warm fuzzies look elsewhere, if you want to be treated and helped Dr. Clarke is the eye doctor to see! To me the bottom line is getting good medical treatment.

My 18 year old daughter will not go back to this doctor. She was intimidated by her and found her very rude and abrupt. She definetly needs to work on her bedside manner. My daughter was told to come back after a year, which was not acceptable. We were able to get another referal and get her in line for the surgery she needs so she can get on with her life..... This doctor is a bit too dismissive...

Overbooked appointments first thing in morning is shortest wait. She's not rude as mentioned just withdrawn personality and to the point. She has been around for decades evryone burns out eventually!!

Very knowledgeable in her profession. She should not have chosen a profession where she had to deal with the public, definitely not a people person. Long waits in the waiting room also.
