If I could give 5000 stars,I would! Dr. Altschuler goes out of his way to make sure all your questions are answered. He works with you to address your health concerns, rather than just telling you what to do.And he goes out of his way to care for his patients. He has so many patients that love him and trust. If he is accepting new patients take it, dr. Eric is plain awesome!

I recently selected Dr Altschuler after meeting with 3 other spine surgeons for a herniated c6/c7 disc causing pain and numbness in my right arm. He is extremely thoughtful and approachable and has significant experience with the Mobi-C artificial disc. I am extremely fortunate to have found this practice. If you are interested to learn more about my injury and decision to pursue ACDR, I posted a series of videos on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJLcrMzH6-d2fT_4Obu0NBA

Terribly rude staff. The office manager is a joke. Be cautious of this doctor. He will not give you true information regarding disability. I cannot express enough how much he hurt our family with his false statements. He suddenly, in between visits, took away my disability insurance. How was that determination reached in between visits? In between visits he decided I was better and not in pain. After saying I could not work, he decided that he never said that. Why did he keep me off work for such a long time, and then make that decision, without seeing me? Maybe a good surgeon, but not a good person. His staff is just as terrible as he is. It is important to follow through. You cannot decide in between visits what a patients condition is or say that he/she improved. I went to my next appointment, and, he wouldn't even come in the exam room for the appointment. We made the trip all the way to his office, and he would not even come in to face me with his decision to cut me off of my insurance. Coward. How can he get away with treating people like that? Please see other doctors and get other opinions. I don't want anyone to be hurt the way I was.

I went to Dr. Altschuler as a second opinion for a 15mm disc herniation. I was quickly seen and I really liked the doc. He was very quick and strait forward, outlining the condition, complications and things that I could do. He did a quick exam and he answered all my questions. He seemed to genuinely care about my well being. I read a few reviews about him being rude, I didn't get that feeling. Make no mistake he is fast and very direct, but that's typically a quality I appreciate in a professional.

I had surgery 12 years ago and sciatic pain came back with a vengeance. I have had ZERO sciatic pain from the moment I woke up from my laminectomy. An extremely wise surgeon.-Jefferson hospital nurses aah.

This guy is a absolute joke. He is extremely rude and doesn't care about his patients at all. I will never return to see him and I hope I never see him anywhere again because he is a all around horrible person.

Terrible experience seeing this doctor. He did not review my records before or during my visit. He seemed to be in a rush and spent exactly six minutes with me. This was after I traveled over an hour to see him. He didn't allow me enough time to fill out paper work including the ones indicating my symptoms and pain. It was a total waste of time. His arrogance and rudeness left me cold.
