By March 2021, the meds I was taking for glossopharyngeal neuralgia became ineffective. My son-in-law Ryan, a CEO of a firm that does a lot of investigative research, found Dr. Raymond F. Sekula to be foremost in his field of medicine. My son, an Ophthalmologist spoke personally with Dr. Sekula, and he too believed Ryan found found the perfect choice for me. My wife and I traveled to PA and were very impressed to find him personable, thorough, and sensitive to every question we had about the procedure and expected outcomes. My wife found him on the internet. We called from DE. Doctor actually called us back, spoke to me, made an appt to go to Pittsburgh within a month. It was amazing -I had an MRI done on the weekend in Pittsburgh, met doc on Monday to go over operation, and on Tues. he operated. Wednesday I was released with NO MORE PAIN. This doctor is a Godsend. He is very humble, knowledgeable, confident, and has empathy for your situation. Never met ANY doctor like him. He is the BEST!!

Dr. Sekula specializes in Micro Vascular Decompression (MVD). MVD is done for Hemi-Facial Spasm. HE knows his stuff and has a high success rate even on re-doing MVDs after other surgeons. Kind, gentle and reassuring. He is also a researcher and well-published.
