Generally a good doctor for minor concerns and check up. Our second daughter was born breach and our pedestrian at the hospital requested a follow up x ray to check for hip dysplasia. He brushed it off even after we had raised concerns regarding clicking and her slow efforts to walk. By 1 year we had changed doctors and the x ray was completed and found indeed an issue. Now at 18 months she has to wear some corrective brace. This could have all been avoided or at least dealt with at an earlier age. I get the feeling he is a bit of traditionalist. Both the specialist at the children’s hospital and our new family doctor shook their head when we explained the situation. Pretty disappointing experience to be honest.

Dr. Evans truly cares, and goes above and beyond to help you. He will tell you if any tests or treatmets you need or will not be helpful. He has a wonderful bedside manner, and is an amazing diagnostician. You won't find a better, nicer, kinder, more capable doctor. I am blessed to have been with him 10 + years. He is almost always right on time with his appointments, which I appreciate since I am a very busy professional. I recall having to wait more than 15 minutes just once due to a medical emergency with the patient before me. He really understands your situation and does not just jump to prescribing medication or ordering useless tests. He takes detailed notes and always refers to them before reaching any conclusions. He is very knowledgeable and up to date and has a very polite bedside manner. He expertly drills in on important details in your history. He puts things in terms that can be easily understood. He is excellent with children as well. He will definitely not prescribe drugs or tests if they are not needed. He has caught several things with me and my family that other GPs and specialists have missed, e.g. diabetes, COPD, leukemia, lymphoma , skin. cancer, Parkinson's. I know several people that go to him with the same impression as me. I truly recommend him and trust him. Thank you Dr. Evans for all your help.

I am an RN nurse and have worked with Dr. Evans many times as well as being a longtime patient of his. He is a fantastic doctor. Listens, cares, and is thorough with his work. He is experienced and professional and one of a rare kind. He actually cares about his patients. He is not one of those doctors that just gives you medication and sends you off. He logically works through the problems with you. Everyone is treated equal in his office. He makes you feel as if you are the only patient he has. By far the best doctor around, even won the physician of the year award. He cares about the small things and never misses anything. Some days I feel guilty having him as our GP knowing what others have for doctors! Strongly strongly recommend this doctor.

Been seeing this fine doctor for a year now . I appreciate that he does not jump to send you off with a pill and is helpful to get to the root of issues. I came to Calgary for better health care from another city in Alberta for which it was very poor, better care has been found with Dr. Evans.

One of the best doctors I've known. He is kind of a breath of fresh air. I've had nightmare doctors in the past. I am so very very grateful to have him as my doctor! The world needs more doctors like him.

Dr. Evans is the best GP I could imagine or hope for. He is science and evidence-based and is honest and very clear about it, especially with so much pseudoscience and weird theories abounding these days, He clearly explains what he is doing as he works. His commitment to quality care and education is admirable. It’s always a pleasure to see him, giving me confidence that I am in good hands. I will definitely be referring everyone I know here.

I spent a huge amount of time and effort researching for a new family doctor. We were finally convinced that we wanted Dr. Evans to be our family doctor based on how one of his patients spoke very highly of him. Even though he is a highly sought after doctor and wasn’t accepting new patients, he accepted my family. We currently drive 55 minutes every time we need an appointment just because no one compares to the best doctor we've ever had. Anyone should be so lucky to have a doctor in the same league as Dr Evans. He is compassionate, caring and non judgemental. He genuinely cares about what's going in with you and your family. An amazing doctor, we would drive hours to see him. I always tell people I have the BEST doctor in all of Calgary and I truly believe it! Upcoming doctors should emulate Dr. Evans. He respects the patient experience and his kind presence keeps you at ease. When sick or concerned, the best part is knowing he's there for you. Best all around doctor I have ever had. He is warm,kind, listens well and respects your opinions, concerns and issues. He encourages questions, is very thorough, sizes up your needs and if you need a specialist, lab tests, etc he quickly makes the arrangements. He is definitely not a "pill-pusher," which my previous doctors seemingly were. He is class and professionalism personified. As a result, the nurses that work with him mirror his professional, warm, kind, helpful nature. I highly recommend him because he is everything you have always thought a family doctor should be and much much more. Yes, some people actually seek out "pill-pusher" doctors to keep their addictions going. I think Dr. Evans can sniff them out right away and he turns them away. These same people then find gratification in writing bad reviews which are blatantly false.

Dr. Evans is by far the best doctor I and my family have ever had. While many doctors just push drugs just to get you out of their office, he steers you in the best direction possible, even if it means taking extra time into his busy schedule to educate you and dispel false beliefs people get from the internet or from talking to other people. I can understand how frustrating this can be ... like breaking rocks with a toothpick! How he can be so patient is incredible.

Dr. Evans is extraordinary! I am used to many doctors before some ok, some good but Dr. K. Evans is somethig much much superior. I would say he was important part to renew me from diabetes and high blood pressure. I would recomend him as one of the best!
